Mike and I were Facebook friends around 2010-2011 for no apparent reason other than being suggested friends due to living in the same city. He first said "Hi!" and I ended up having a conversation about everything under the sun with a 'stranger.' I was here for the first time in America back then while he was in the Philippines.

Sometime in the year 2012, I went back to the Philippines and met my best friend, Katryn. She invited me to a house party not knowing I would meet Mike. At that time, he would smile at me and seemed like trying to get my attention as if he knew me for a long time. Looking back, I forgot about having met him online since I wasn't really into him. To me, he was only my so- called "online shock absorber slash listening to my rants type of person." I didn't even bother to check his photos before!

He then talked and reminded me that we used to exchange messages through Facebook. Since then, we have been good friends until we became a couple around 2014. Around 2015, I had to go back to America and unfortunately, we decided to break up because of the long distance status.

In the year 2016-2017, I went back to the Philippines again to pursue my Nursing degree. I was in a relationship with another person and he too, had a relationship around 2016-2018 but as we looked back and talked about it, we realised that we were meant to be each other; we both would randomly be invited to certain events as we have common friends or casually bump into each other since we just lived in a small town. As fate played in our lives, he waited for me to heal in my past relationship and became a couple again on September 2020.
