Disclaimer: Joanne loves moose...like really loves moose. So if you are wondering what the heck all of these moose references are, take it up with her. Point being, she was ecstatic when she could say she finally found her "Mooster Right"... Michael.

Imagine being in the right place at the right time, being called by the living God to go somewhere you've only heard of a couple times. Then BAM!, you walk in and are instantly greeted by what could only be described as the live action version of Miss Frizzle, extending her hand out and greeting you in a business manner. Only it wasn't a business meeting, it was just House Church.

Not being intimidated by her matter-of-fact greeting, Michael sought out a way to ask Joanne on a date. A few weeks went by, some inquiries about her availability, and Michael found himself invited to a game night at her family's house.

The opportunity arose at the end of the night, where he boldly asked her, "I would like to know more about education; would you like to get coffee?" The two planned to meet up a few days later.

He had done it; he asked her out! Joanne, however, was not entirely aware that she had been asked out...if only he'd asked for her number.

This would be a dreadful realization while sitting in the coffee shop patiently waiting, wondering if she would show up. But somehow Michael just knew she would. And she did.

There they sat, on December 5th, 2022, chatting about anything and everything. Time didn't seem to matter to either one, until the lovely owner of Stonehouse Cafe kindly notified them that it was past closing time. As they were leaving and saying farewells, Michael asked Joanne on another date, a proper one. And so began a year of growing, testing, joy, patients and love.

One year later, at the same little cafe, Michael asked Joanne to marry him. To no surprise Joanne said Yes.
