Joey and Jocie met in high school in 9th grade. They became friends on the very last day of senior year, when their friend groups joined together. In 2020, they both attended GVSU. They began dating in March of 2021, when Joey took Jocie out to Olive Garden. As they continued to date, they discovered that they shared a love for Jesus, food, Universal Studios (after Jocie showed Joey how awesome Universal is), Harry Potter, animals, and children. Joey proposed in front of the Hogwarts Castle in Universal's Islands of Adventure on March 5, 2023. Their favorite place has become even more special to them :)
