Although they did have a lot of mutual friends they did not “officially” meet until 2019. After 6 months of just friends, and patiently asking & waiting for a first date Jodi finally said yes to a lunch date! Unfortunately for Brent that yes came mid Covid-19 Pandemic. Most of the restaurants were closed. But he somehow managed to convince Jodi to head south for a weekend. After 3 days of cleaning the apartment Brent was ready for that first date! After a trip to check heifers in the Loverna, Saskatchewan hills Jodi realized she liked this guy more than she had originally planned to. Fast forward many tractor dates, pasture checks, brandings, fence building/fixing and multiple trips north Brent decided it was time to pop the question. Amongst a herd of black angus cows is where he chose to ask; which couldn’t have been more fitting! Jodi said yes to being Brent’s gate opener for life!
