Our Wedding

Jodie and Jim met in 2009 while Jodie was taking college courses to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.&nbsp;&nbsp;Jodie was looking for help with College Algebra.&nbsp;&nbsp;Even though Jim had his last Algebra course around the same year that Jodie was born, he willingly offered to be her tutor.&nbsp;It all started very innocently with Jodie arriving at Jim's house with her math book in hand and thankful to meet someone who could hopefully help her make sense of all the numbers and operations scrambled in her head.&nbsp;Their time together was not just a learning experience but exciting and fun.&nbsp;Slowly, Jodie and Jim spent more time together with Jim cooking dinner while tutoring Jodie.&nbsp;For Jodie, happiness was when Jim entered her life.&nbsp;After a few short weeks of tutoring and passing grades, they became each other's plus one for many occasions which blessed them with many wonderful and funny memories that they still share today.&nbsp;&nbsp;Jodie successfully passed her Algebra class and continued taking classes with Jim occasionally helping until completion of her Bachelor's Degree.Eventually, Jodie's roommates were moving and Jodie needed a new place to stay.&nbsp;Jim offered her a room in his house and that's when their shared journey began.&nbsp;As time progressed, trips to the beach and occasional dinners at restaurants occurred and eventually they started taking vacations together.&nbsp;They met each other's family and their friendship evolved into a loving, caring relationship. Jodie thought that finding her soulmate, her forever and her perfect match was nearly impossible but little did she know that Jim was her missing piece and her best friend.&nbsp;Slowly, they started filling the empty spaces in each other's heart.&nbsp;Neither of them realizing that Jodie needed someone to show her love and Jim needed someone to show him how to be loved.&nbsp;They were meant to walk this journey together to find happiness.Jim proposed on May 19, 2024, on the Carnival Vista Cruise Line, with the guidance in planning of Jodie's best friend, Angel.&nbsp;The plan was to have professional pictures done before dinner while surprising Jodie with the proposal.&nbsp;Jodie and Jim finally decided to make it official.&nbsp;They are looking forward to their journey ahead while creating memories with family and friends. Jims & Jodie's Love Story

Our Story

Jim and I met through mutual friends back in the fall of 2008.&nbsp;I was working as an x-ray technician while taking courses to achieve my business degree.&nbsp;Thanks to my lack of knowledge in Algebra a friend suggested Jim as the perfect person to help me achieve one of my biggest accomplishments.&nbsp;Before I knew it, Jim was helping me a few times a week.

2009

Our first formal function together at Jodie's place of employment. Jim was my plus one for the evening and also my designated driver.

I'm Jim's plus one for the evening for his Holiday party through work. Jodie was the designated driver that night.

2010

Jim and I are in front of the Bean in Chicago. This was my first time visiting Jim's brother Robert and his family. We had a great time in Chicago with everyone. Jim's nieces showed us places in town that we will never forget.

2011

Jim and I quickly became great friends and each other's "person." We accompanied each other to every local outing and started doing fun activities on the weekend such as kayaking, concerts and going to the beach.&nbsp;

Angel and Jodie met while working for an Orthopedics group back in 2007. Our social, bubbly, caring personalities attracted one another at "hello", we had instant chemistry. Since getting to know each other over the years, our friendship has strengthened and has created to many of my best memories. We had many crazy times with family vacations and took multiple vacations together.  Angel has become one of my best friends. "Thank you", Angel, for always being there for me.  I can't imagine saying "I Do" without you by my side as my Maid of Honor.

Kristine is Jodie's younger sister and falls in the middle of three girls. She is married to the love of her life, Sara. They are the mothers of the best niece and nephew anyone could ask for. Kristine is truly a remarkable parent who rarely has time for herself.  Kristine has always been my biggest fan, an encouraging cheerleader and a great supporter.  She helped me to realize my ability to overcome challenging obstacles. We ‘ve watched each other grow and shape into the woman we are today.   In good times and bad times, she is always there for me. “Thank You”, Kristine, for being my Maid of Honor, my lifetime best friend and the one who knows me best and always loves me anyway.  

Kristine Angelari

Lori is Jodie’s youngest sister.  She is the youngest of three girls and the baby in our family.  She is an entrepreneur sharing a cleaning business and also certified as a Medical Assistant.  Lori is reliable and trustworthy.  She loves being an aunt and would move mountains to spend time with her nephew and niece. She loves me unconditionally but always finds time to challenge my patience. You are an irreplaceable presence in my life, not just a sister but also a friend.   No matter where life takes us, I can always count on you, "Thank You", Lori, for making our wedding day so special and for being a meaningful person in our wedding party.

Lori Angelari

Jodie has known Raejean since 4th grade. We lived roughly a block away from each other and we have been best friends through life. Raejean’s daughter, Tricia, is Jodie’s first godchild and her father, is Jodie’s first cousin. We have a deep family connection that has evolved through the years. From childhood dreams to grown up plans, Raejean and I have always been there for each other. "Thank You", Raejean, for making our wedding day so special. Our friendship will always mean the world to me.

Julie is a bundle of energy that Jodie met when they were about 17 years old.  At that time, Julie was more reserved and Jodie was the outgoing carefree one.  As time evolved, our lives changed and our roles started to reverse. At times, we find this amusing when we reflect on how we used to be.   The two of us worked together at a popular restaurant in Salem, New Hampshire.  We instantly became close friends and shared many adventures together.  Through the years, we remained cheering each other on or bailing each other out.  Through our concerts, late night car issues and late-night phone calls, our trips together where always full of laughter and enjoyment. "Thank You", Juli, for being one of my best friends and being by my side in life and on my wedding day.

Grayson is Jodie's nephew. He is nine and one of the best nephews anyone could ask for.  He is the first one that made me feel special by calling me "Auntie".  He is handsome, smart and funny. Grayson enjoys swimming, video games, amusement parks, Target (the red store), Starbucks (the queen) and amusement parks. He fills our hearts with joy and happiness. I now understand why they say the best things come in tiny packages. You are one of my greatest gifts in life. "Thank You", Grayson, for helping to lead the way down the aisle and making our wedding so perfect. We are lucky to have you in our lives. 

Grayson Angelari

Amelia is Jodie's niece. She is only 6 years old and the most thoughtful person I know. She is always thinking of others. Amelia loves to dance, sing, swim, go to the movies and play T-Ball. She is a little fashionista that loves to dress up and be the center of attention. She also loves to play dollies with everyone, and she tells you how the story happens and how you need to play, even before you play.  Amelia is very excited to have an uncle and continuously asks if Jim is her uncle yet. She is a precious gift that brings us joy and love and has a big piece of our heart. “Thank You”, Amelia, for walking before me while scattering petals of love and well wishes for us.

Robert is the oldest of Jim's four siblings. Robert had a successful career in industry and the love of his life, Rachel, had worked in the medical field. Both are now retired and living in Indiana with their two dogs.  They have three children who live in the Chicago area and one in North Carolina. Their passions include physical fitness, gardening, taking care of their dogs and enjoying their two precious grandchildren, Madeline and Margaret. 
Robert will be officiating our wedding ceremony and we are extremely grateful for his help in making our ceremony so meaningful. It means the world to us. "Thank You", Robert, for being part of our special day and making our wedding day so memorable. "Thank You", both for being a big part of our lives.

John is Jim's twin and the 4th oldest of the siblings. On occasion, John reminds Jim that he is 1 minute older.  John and the love of his life, Jolene, have three children. One child lives in Vermont, one in Ohio and one in Pittsburgh.  After successful careers in the Industry, John and Jolene are retired and living in Pittsburgh.  Their passion now is seeing Adalyn, their granddaughter and traveling. "Thank You", John, for being part of my journey. It's an honor having you stand by my side as my Best Man.  "Thank You" both for being a huge part of our lives.

John Steinmetz

Rich is the 3rd oldest of Jim's 4 siblings.  He met the love of his life, Paula in college. They have two children. One child lives in Massachusetts and their other lives in Maryland. Rich and Paula's career had them living in Canada and several different states in their lifetime.  They are now retired living in Pittsburgh with their dog, Katie. Their passions now include continuing education, traveling and taking care of Katie. "Thank You", Rich, for being part of our special day and making our wedding day so memorable. "Thank You" both for being a big part of our lives.

Richard Steinmetz

Robert is Jodie’s godfather. He is living his best life in Portugal with the love of his life, Maria. Robert has been a constant presence in Jodie’s life no matter where his life has taken him. He has always been there for Jodie and has been like her second father. Robert is very caring and always lends a helping hand. I am very thankful for him not just standing by me but also for walking through life with me. "Thank You" for your endless support, encouragement and love. It means the world to me.
