Our Wedding

They say when you’re not looking for love, it’s when you find it. And in the middle of life, when you least expect it, Bill and Jody’s paths crossed, proving that soulmates can be found at any age. Jody, living in New Hampshire, would make her monthly trips to the New York and Connecticut area for work. She often stayed near Ridgefield, where her friends and cherished memories resided from her previous decade-long residence in the area. Their usual routine was simple - work early, work late, grab something to eat, sleep, and repeat. But one Thursday night in April, something changed for Jody. Maybe it was a touch of fancy or a stroke of fate, but she decided she didn’t want to go back to the hotel. So, she left her office a little earlier than usual and headed to a local steakhouse in Danbury, Connecticut. On her drive back to the hotel, still relatively early, she noticed an Irish bar called Molly Darcys out of the corner of her eye. Memories of her au-pair going there and sharing stories of the fun she had with her friends flooded her mind. In a spontaneous moment, she cut off the car in the left lane and pulled into the parking lot. Molly Darcys wasn’t her usual scene – a bit rundown and more geared towards younger folks. But that night, it was empty, except for Alan, an older bartender from Ireland. Jody struck up a conversation with him while continuing to work, this time on her nonprofit. About half an hour later, she saw out of the corner of her eye a white-haired man in an FDNY t-shirt walk into the bar. Little did she know that this man, Bill, would become her future husband. Oblivious to his presence, Jody focused on her work, barely sipping on her cocktail. Unbeknownst to her, Bill had ordered some food and a beer and had been talking to Alan about finding a way to approach her. Finally, after another 20 minutes, Jody put down her phone, visibly flustered from her text exchanges. That's when Bill leaned over and delivered the most epic pick-up line, “Finally, you put down that phone so I could talk to you. Hi, my name is Bill.”&nbsp; Normally, Jody would politely respond to such interactions and move on with her business, having been a seasoned traveler for most of her career. But this time, something was different. They talked and laughed, connecting in a way that neither had felt in a long time. As the evening progressed, the DJ started playing, and both of them decided to let loose and hit the dance floor. It was a night of pure joy and enjoyment, a break from the monotony of their lives. Little did they know that this night would mark the beginning of a beautiful journey together. Bill and Jody’s story is a testament to the fact that love can find you when you least expect it, even in a rundown bar on a Thursday night. And now, they can’t wait to share their laughter, smiles, and love with all of their friends and family on their special day.

Meet Our Boys: The Heart of Our Wedding Party! Welcome to the whimsical world of our wedding party, where love knows no bounds! Allow us to introduce our shining lights—our four beloved boys—who teach us every day that the heart has infinite room for love. Despite being five years apart, our fabulous crew has blended so beautifully as a family that it feels like destiny at work. Each one brings their own unique charm and personality, creating a delightful tapestry of joy, laughter, and maybe a little chaos (but isn’t that the best kind?). We are bursting with pride as we share that Noah and Breandan, Bill’s wonderful children, will stand by his side as the Best Men. These two are the kind of guys who can make anyone smile, and we can’t wait to see them rock their roles! On the other hand, Bennett and Emerson will be walking Jody down the aisle, bringing their hearts and enthusiasm to this momentous occasion. This day is more than just a wedding; it’s the beautiful merging of our families and the beginning of our new lives together. It’s an adventure that’s only just begun, and we couldn’t imagine this journey without our amazing boys by our side. So get ready for a day filled with laughter, love, and perhaps a few adorable antics, as we celebrate not just a union, but the creation of an even bigger family!

As we prepare to embark on our grand adventure of matrimony, we couldn't resist introducing you to four additional stars of our wedding party—our beloved crew of crazies! These four furry companions are not just pets; they are our loyal sidekicks, mischief-makers, and the heart and soul of our home. First, there’s Sir Sniff-a-Lot (Big Alf), our fearless leader, who takes his role as the official wedding gatekeeper very seriously (or at least as seriously as a dog can). Next up is Lady Wags-a-Lot (Lexi), the reigning queen of "touch me...no, don't touch me," ready to sprinkle her charm and steal your heart with just one wag of her tail. Then we have Captain Barkington (Scooby), the life of the party, who believes that every moment is an opportunity for a spirited chortle and a game of chase. Last, but certainly not least, is Princess Paws (Sammie), our resident diva, who insists that every photo opportunity must include her glamorous presence. Now, while our furry friends won’t actually be present at our luxurious affair (who wants dog hair as their primary accessory, after all?), they will be there in spirit, eagerly waiting for us to celebrate when we return home. They’ll be ready to shower us with love—and possibly a bit of slobber—once the festivities conclude! Warm woofs and heartfelt hugs!
