Sometimes you've got to kiss a few frogs, have a few lousy dates, and learn a few valuable lessons before you meet THE ONE. That's exactly how our story began. One random Wednesday, Amanda decided to give "Hinge" one more shot. She came across Joe's profile. He had a picture of him looking quite studly in a cowboy hat and boots, Amanda's favorite. He had a prompt that read "Typical Sunday- brunch, football game, nap, Costco." Amanda found this entertaining, what crazy person goes to Costco on a Sunday?! So she asked Joe, this got the conversation started. They quickly bonded via message through the app over their love for Costco and the Costco food court. The messaging eventually resulted in the exchanging of phone numbers which lead to a 4 hour facetime call while Joe drove out to Havasu for the weekend. Joe and Amanda's first date was the following Monday at Ola in Long Beach. It was the best first date ever!! Joe called Amanda the next day and insisted on seeing her ASAP. He made them dinner, a gluten and dairy free recipe he had looked up in order to meet Amanda's dietary restrictions. Joe almost burned his apartment down in the process, but clearly he did something right because we have been inseparable since our second date. When you know, you know. After that second date, we both knew.

We quickly fell in love and never looked back. Our life together has been full of love, SO MUCH FUN, desert adventures, country concerts, weddings, coffee walks, work outs, and lazy days on the sofa with our Boston Terrier, Jackson.
