We recommend finding an Airbnb in Edinburgh's "Old Town", preferably near the Royal Mile, Holyrood Park, or Princes Street/the Castle.

There is an airport in Edinburgh, but if you plan on getting to the country more than a few days before and would like to explore we recommend flying into London, UK, as Edinburgh is a short train ride away from London where you can enjoy many tourist and historical spots.

Yes, the UK recently implemented the ETA visa for U.S. visitors. You can apply for this through the UK's government website; simply search "UK ETA Visa". Though be sure you have more than 1 calendar year left on the validity of your passport before traveling; some countries make a fuss if a passport expires within the year.

We would appreciate you dressing up for the occasion, navy suit with a blue floral tie for the gentlemen and either a dress or similar level of dress for the ladies (a blue/blue floral dress would be appreciated, but no necessary). Do keep in mind that summer in Scotland is quite cool, it'll likely be in the low 50's on our wedding day. It also rains often in Scotland so given that our ceremony location will require a short walk along a path, choose your shoes accordingly. Ladies, if you plan on wearing a dress, please do bring a change of more formal shoes for photos.

Be sure to pack a plug adapter for the UK and anywhere else you plan on traveling, an umbrella and/or rain coat, and warm layers. A warm coat is highly recommended.
