Our story began seven years ago on January 14, 2018 via a dating app. Joe was living in North TX & I was in South TX; A difference of 132 miles from each other. Still till this day, I wonder how we matched since we were so far away from each other.

After talking for a few weeks we decided to finally meet. Our first date was in the Woodlands, TX at Pappasito's Cantina. The moment I laid my eyes on Joe getting out of his white Hyundai Sonata, I knew he was the one. Sparks flew at dinner and we didn't want the night to end. We then spent hours at Main Event where the competition was fierce with each other. The time came to say goodbye, we hugged and departed. But it didn't end there.

Between 2018- 2020 life threw us curve balls but we always remained in touch and always felt like we had unfinished business. I moved back to Florida in 2020 and thought that our story finally came to an end. Funny how life works right? Houston was home to me and I was feeling very home sick. Joe and I hadn't spoke in a year or so at this point. I finally decided on a whim to look at jobs in the Houston area. And within days, I landed an interview and within a week of that interview, I was offered the position. I packed up all my things and moved back to Houston in July of 2023.

Joe and I rekindled our love for each other in August 2024 when he replied to one of my stories on Instagram saying: I love you. And from there, the real story begins.

On February 14, 2025, Joe got down on his knees after cooking a wonder dinner and finally asked me to forever.

Our journey was not a typical one and some could argue it was a bit out of order. We took risks and put a lot of faith in each other and the unknown future. But it's our journey and it's led us to decide on forever!
