Samantha and Joel both attended Theology on Tap at a brewery in Sarasota. Little did they know, these seemingly small events would lead to their eventual meeting. This is a photo that was taken at the event with both of them there before they met.
Samantha and Joel occasionally started going to young adults volleyball on Friday nights where they officially met. However, Joel has had his eye on her since the brewery ;)
September 29, 2023
On this night, Samantha and Joel attended another young adults volleyball event. Afterwards, they went out with a few friends from volleyball, but it was really to spend more time with Samantha. As they were leaving the restaurant, Joel noticed that Samantha's tail lights were out. If you know anything about Samantha's car, it is that there is always something wrong with it. Samantha mentioned that the tail light is rigged and it probably cannot be fixed, but Joel wouldn't let that slide. Joel said that he could take a look at it, or more likely, because he wanted to talk to Samantha more.
October 3, 2023
Later that week, Joel messaged Samantha that he wouldn't have the chance to check her tail light because he was going out of town that weekend. From that text stemmed a longer conversation that lasted the whole week and they both realized there may be something more here.
October 15, 2023
The young adults at Samantha and Joel's church were taking part in a church hop and visiting another church in Orlando. Because Samantha's car was not in a condition to drive long distances, Joel offered to pick Samantha up, and together they embarked on an hour long car ride to and from church, during which they talked and learned even more about each other and sparks began to fly!
October 17, 2023
Finally, two days later, Samantha and Joel went from going to church on Sunday to going on their first date at the shooting range! Nothing like some exciting fun at the shooting range to start off the rest of their lives :)

One night after a young adult group event, Samantha and Joel went out to eat. When Joel brought her home, he officially asked Samantha to be his girlfriend!

Joel meets Samantha's family and one of the besties for the first time! What a way to celebrate her birthday! 🥳
Samantha moves to Nashville, but that doesn't stop them.

Not long after Samantha moved, Joel surprised her in Nashville. Love has no distance :)

Samantha joined Joel's family on a trip to Georgia after Thanksgiving where she got to know and love each one of them more and more.

Samantha visited home for her first Christmas with Joel, only to get sick a couple days before Christmas. Joel comforts Samantha while she is sick.
January 15, 2024
Samantha and Joel took a trip to Utah with two other friends. This was Samantha's first time ever snowboarding (if you couldn't already tell from the picture). Little did Samantha know, Joel was planning to propose in just a few nights!!

Oop, there it is. Joel brought Samantha outside to a beautiful courtyard pretending it was just to take normal photos, but instead he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! Their story is one of a kind, and their love for one another is beautiful.
This may be the end of this story, but now they get to start a new one together. Let's get these two married!
