Kelsey’s side- Near the beginning of 2023 my parents started attending Skiatook First Assembly. The first Sunday they attended Joel left a lasting impact on them. He had been one of the many people giving testimonies that day and my parents told me that he reminded them of a boy version of me. Upon hearing this I was honestly curious but also doubtful because there was no way this guy could be the guy version of me. I visited Skiatook First Assembly for Mother’s Day and I saw him for the first time and thought he was cute. Fast forward to when I actually started coming to SFA I began to see his personality and I could immediately tell there was something different about him. We quickly became friends and then over time we could see something bigger that would become of this friendship. And now here we are 2 years later and we are getting married. He is such a blessing in my life and I’m so thankful to God for him each and every day.
