Download the Unico App - "RCD Hotels" (App Store or Google Play) to see the property map, view a list of daily/weekly activities, dining menus and order room service. You can also request wake up calls, and a new pillow from the pillow menu!

Host

Your host is someone who is assigned to you before your arrive. This person is used as a concierge between you and the hotel. Although we advise you to make dinner reservations before you arrive, any changes you would like to make can be done by messaging your host to do for you. They can also book spa, gym reservations, mixology and tasting classes.
Unico recommends you download “whatsapp” on your phone to easily communicate with your host while at the resort using the great complimentary wifi available throughout. Otherwise they will check in with you throughout the week.
(You can also easily message other guests with this app as well)
Tip: Request in-room mixology from your host each evening at a specific time or have mimosas, bloody mary’s, or tequila delivered to your room each morning.

Dining


Dinner reservations are not required but HIGHLY recommended, especially for people looking to combine for a larger group dinner. You can book dinner reservations 30 days prior (aka now) by emailing prearrivalhost@unicohotelrm.com with the restaurant and number of people.
UNICO recommends booking reservations now and you can always change them at arrival should plans change by either visiting the host/hostess or messaging your host!
Groups of 8 or more will have a set menu. You will not need a dining reservation on 4/26 or 4/27 for the night of the welcome dinner and our wedding.

Note: The welcome dinner will have drinks and dinner at La Unico Bar located in the main pool area from 7pm-8pm. This is a great time to get to know our group, have a drink and get the party started.

Breakfast

2087 - (typically buffet but not due to covid) Mi Carisa - sit down breakfast Cafe Inez - grab-n-go cafe.
Tip: We did not discover this sit down breakfast at Mi Carisa until our last day. We just ran to the buffet or cafe to get something fast so we could get to the pool early. Once we had breakfast at Mi Carisa we were blown away. The best french toast and avocado toast plus a mimosa cart! The service is very quick as well!

Lunch

Dinner

Mi Carisa- Italian 2087 - Steak house Mura House - Asian (regular table and hibachi table. Hibachi MUST be booked in advance) Cueve Siete - Mexican Hint: Try the mushroom soup at Mi Carisa or the squid ink pasta! Try the guacamole at Cueve Siete even with the surprise topping ;) and end with a Mexican coffee!

Room service

If you don't feel like venturing from your room for food, room service provides some excellent options. Some reviews have said the room service steak is the best on property. Personally, having breakfast delivered right when we woke up was heaven sent. Room service is 24 hours but please allow extra time for it to be delivered. Breakfast can be requested the night before by calling.

Excursions

Although we did not do any excursions last year when we visited, there are definitely some great options. We loved the resort so much we didn't want to leave, but some things we might enjoy this time would be a trip to Tulum to check out local shops or visiting a nearby cenote. Make sure you note how far away the excursions are from the hotel, as some are further away and take you away from the resort for the entire day.

Tipping

The resort staff work extremely hard to make sure all guests have an incredible experience. They work for very minimal wages so please tip when you feel service was great. Every few rounds of drinks, lunch/dinners if the servers were good, and your host at the end of the week if you utilized him/her. Although not expected, it's very much appreciated and a couple dollars goes a long way.

Check the UNICO app for more activities. They usually have a casino night that you play with fake money but can win bottles of tequila or champagne.
