Our story is truly one that is sent from our gracious Heavenly Father above that we both love to tell!

Keeley was all set to head back to Nashville to work as a nurse practitioner and Joel was set to head back to western Nebraska to practice as a physical therapist. BUT GOD had different plans. We both had vowed we would never download dating apps, but well, here we are! :) Joel and Keeley matched on Hinge ("the app meant to be deleted"), but Joel also had a mutual friend in PT school who was friends with Keeley and went to Creighton with her (Thank you Rome!) who said that we both should go on a date.

We went on our first date in early October 2022 to Hiro 88 for sushi. Joel jokingly tells others that he was so mesmerized by Keeley's intelligence and beauty on the first date that he did not even want to speak! :) Needless to say, there was for sure a second date...... and a third and a fourth!

We were mildly pressed for time to make things official as Joel was leaving Omaha to head to Chadron for his second 8-week clinical for PT school. So, on October 20th, 2022, Joel officially asked Keeley to be his girlfriend over a bucket of chocolate chip cookies at Vala's Pumpkin Patch.

Since that day, we have celebrated a lot of firsts together, such as passing our boards exams, starting our "big kid" jobs, going to Husker and Creighton (yes, a house divided) sporting events, supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as Hero Ambassadors, and soaking up as much time as we can with each other's families and friends!

Fast forward to August 19th, 2023, when Joel popped the question overlooking a beautiful sunset at Lake Zorinsky in Omaha. This was the day that we both officially marked getting to marry each other's best friend! We are so thankful to God for our wonderful family and friends who were able to help us celebrate that wonderful day, and we look forward to celebrating the start of our forever with all of you on June 28th, 2025. To God be all of the glory!
