Way back in June 2017, Joelle and a friend were spending a night out at Hawthorne on U Street in Washington DC (RIP). Joelle noticed someone in front of her taking a selfie video of himself. Naturally, Joelle decided to photobomb the video. When the person finished filming the video, Joelle apologized for photobombing him, and the man turned around to face her. Joelle noticed what a beautiful smile the man had, and he introduced himself as Kahlil. The two exchanged numbers and Kahlil invited Joelle to go bowling with him a few days later at Lucky Strikes in Chinatown. The two have been together ever since.In August 2018, Joelle moved back to California to attend UC Irvine School of Law while Kahlil remained in Virginia, and the two would visit each other as much as possible. After Joelle graduated from law school in 2021, Kahlil made the big leap and moved to Newport Beach, California to be with Joelle.Seven years after they first met, Kahlil proposed to Joelle in August 2024 on the Big Island of Hawaii.Kahlil and Joelle are excited to celebrate their wedding in Virginia where Kahlil was raised!

Wedding Day Shuttle Schedule

Shuttles will pick up at Home 2 Suites and the Forum and will be at both locations at 3:30 pm for a prompt departure to our venue, Eastwood Winery. An early bird shuttle will depart at 8:45 pm back to hotels. Final shuttle departure at 10:00 pm when the reception ends.
