Joey&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;first&nbsp;met&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;movie&nbsp;theater&nbsp;in&nbsp;Elgin.&nbsp;The&nbsp;film&nbsp;we&nbsp;watched&nbsp;that&nbsp;night&nbsp;was&nbsp;Get&nbsp;Out,&nbsp;but&nbsp;the&nbsp;real&nbsp;excitement&nbsp;was&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;spark&nbsp;that&nbsp;ignited&nbsp;between&nbsp;us.&nbsp;After&nbsp;the&nbsp;movie,&nbsp;we&nbsp;continued&nbsp;the&nbsp;night&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;cozy&nbsp;dinner&nbsp;at&nbsp;Noodles&nbsp;and&nbsp;Company,&nbsp;enjoying&nbsp;each&nbsp;moment&nbsp;as&nbsp;we&nbsp;got&nbsp;to&nbsp;know&nbsp;one&nbsp;another.&nbsp;It&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;night&nbsp;filled&nbsp;with&nbsp;laughter&nbsp;and&nbsp;conversation&nbsp;that&nbsp;flowed&nbsp;effortlessly,&nbsp;but&nbsp;what&nbsp;really&nbsp;sealed&nbsp;it&nbsp;was&nbsp;the&nbsp;moment&nbsp;we&nbsp;shared&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;end&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;evening. We&nbsp;found&nbsp;ourselves&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;parking&nbsp;lot,&nbsp;the&nbsp;world&nbsp;feeling&nbsp;quieter,&nbsp;just&nbsp;the&nbsp;two&nbsp;of&nbsp;us,&nbsp;dancing&nbsp;under&nbsp;the&nbsp;stars.&nbsp;It&nbsp;was&nbsp;there&nbsp;that&nbsp;we&nbsp;shared&nbsp;our&nbsp;first&nbsp;kiss,&nbsp;a&nbsp;kiss&nbsp;that&nbsp;still&nbsp;feels&nbsp;as&nbsp;magical&nbsp;as&nbsp;that&nbsp;night.&nbsp;It&nbsp;marked&nbsp;the&nbsp;beginning&nbsp;of&nbsp;something&nbsp;special. The&nbsp;next&nbsp;chapter&nbsp;in&nbsp;our&nbsp;story&nbsp;was&nbsp;unforgettable—Prom.&nbsp;We&nbsp;spent&nbsp;that&nbsp;evening&nbsp;together,&nbsp;but&nbsp;instead&nbsp;of&nbsp;a&nbsp;ballroom&nbsp;or&nbsp;a&nbsp;dance&nbsp;floor,&nbsp;we&nbsp;found&nbsp;ourselves&nbsp;on&nbsp;a&nbsp;boat&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;city,&nbsp;drifting&nbsp;along&nbsp;the&nbsp;water&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;city&nbsp;skyline&nbsp;as&nbsp;our&nbsp;backdrop.&nbsp;Surrounded&nbsp;by&nbsp;the&nbsp;city&nbsp;lights,&nbsp;we&nbsp;danced&nbsp;once&nbsp;more,&nbsp;just&nbsp;the&nbsp;two&nbsp;of&nbsp;us,&nbsp;creating&nbsp;memories&nbsp;that&nbsp;would&nbsp;last&nbsp;a&nbsp;lifetime. Our&nbsp;love&nbsp;hasn’t&nbsp;been&nbsp;without&nbsp;its&nbsp;challenges.&nbsp;Like&nbsp;any&nbsp;journey,&nbsp;we've&nbsp;faced&nbsp;lows,&nbsp;but&nbsp;we've&nbsp;also&nbsp;experienced&nbsp;the&nbsp;highest&nbsp;of&nbsp;highs.&nbsp;Through&nbsp;it&nbsp;all,&nbsp;we've&nbsp;been&nbsp;there&nbsp;for&nbsp;each&nbsp;other,&nbsp;supporting&nbsp;one&nbsp;another&nbsp;through&nbsp;both&nbsp;the&nbsp;struggles&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;triumphs.&nbsp;This&nbsp;has&nbsp;only&nbsp;deepened&nbsp;our&nbsp;love&nbsp;for&nbsp;one&nbsp;another. One&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;most&nbsp;beautiful&nbsp;parts&nbsp;of&nbsp;our&nbsp;journey&nbsp;has&nbsp;been&nbsp;how&nbsp;we’ve&nbsp;also&nbsp;fallen&nbsp;in&nbsp;love&nbsp;with&nbsp;each&nbsp;other's&nbsp;families.&nbsp;Our&nbsp;families&nbsp;have&nbsp;become&nbsp;intertwined,&nbsp;and&nbsp;it’s&nbsp;clear&nbsp;that&nbsp;they&nbsp;are&nbsp;such&nbsp;an&nbsp;important&nbsp;part&nbsp;of&nbsp;our&nbsp;love&nbsp;story.&nbsp;We’ve&nbsp;laughed,&nbsp;celebrated,&nbsp;and&nbsp;supported&nbsp;one&nbsp;another&nbsp;through&nbsp;both&nbsp;small&nbsp;and&nbsp;big&nbsp;moments.&nbsp;I’m&nbsp;so&nbsp;grateful&nbsp;for&nbsp;how&nbsp;our&nbsp;families&nbsp;have&nbsp;embraced&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;and&nbsp;how&nbsp;we’ve&nbsp;created&nbsp;a&nbsp;second&nbsp;home&nbsp;in&nbsp;each&nbsp;other’s&nbsp;hearts.&nbsp;It’s&nbsp;a&nbsp;bond&nbsp;that’s&nbsp;deeper&nbsp;than&nbsp;just&nbsp;us—it’s&nbsp;a&nbsp;love&nbsp;that&nbsp;includes&nbsp;everyone&nbsp;we&nbsp;hold&nbsp;close.&nbsp; Another&nbsp;chapter&nbsp;of&nbsp;our&nbsp;story&nbsp;has&nbsp;been&nbsp;watching&nbsp;Joey&nbsp;chase&nbsp;his&nbsp;dreams&nbsp;and&nbsp;grow&nbsp;as&nbsp;a&nbsp;person.&nbsp;Two&nbsp;years&nbsp;ago,&nbsp;he&nbsp;took&nbsp;a&nbsp;huge&nbsp;leap&nbsp;and&nbsp;started&nbsp;his&nbsp;own&nbsp;business&nbsp;with&nbsp;photography.&nbsp;It&nbsp;wasn’t&nbsp;easy&nbsp;at&nbsp;first,&nbsp;and&nbsp;there&nbsp;were&nbsp;moments&nbsp;of&nbsp;doubt,&nbsp;but&nbsp;Joey's&nbsp;passion&nbsp;and&nbsp;dedication&nbsp;have&nbsp;been&nbsp;so&nbsp;inspiring.&nbsp;I've&nbsp;watched&nbsp;him&nbsp;pour&nbsp;his&nbsp;heart&nbsp;into&nbsp;his&nbsp;work,&nbsp;capturing&nbsp;moments&nbsp;for&nbsp;others&nbsp;while&nbsp;continuing&nbsp;to&nbsp;refine&nbsp;his&nbsp;craft.&nbsp;It’s&nbsp;incredible&nbsp;to&nbsp;see&nbsp;how&nbsp;much&nbsp;he's&nbsp;grown&nbsp;and&nbsp;how&nbsp;his&nbsp;business&nbsp;has&nbsp;flourished.&nbsp;He’s&nbsp;turned&nbsp;his&nbsp;passion&nbsp;into&nbsp;a&nbsp;business&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;couldn’t&nbsp;be&nbsp;prouder&nbsp;of&nbsp;him&nbsp;for&nbsp;taking&nbsp;that&nbsp;risk&nbsp;and&nbsp;succeeding.&nbsp; And&nbsp;then&nbsp;came&nbsp;the&nbsp;day&nbsp;that&nbsp;changed&nbsp;everything.&nbsp;Our&nbsp;engagement. Joey&nbsp;planned&nbsp;every&nbsp;detail&nbsp;with&nbsp;so&nbsp;much&nbsp;love&nbsp;it&nbsp;brings&nbsp;tears&nbsp;to&nbsp;my&nbsp;eyes&nbsp;just&nbsp;remembering&nbsp;it.&nbsp;We&nbsp;started&nbsp;with&nbsp;brunch&nbsp;at&nbsp;Navy&nbsp;Pier,&nbsp;just&nbsp;enjoying&nbsp;the&nbsp;city&nbsp;and&nbsp;each&nbsp;other.&nbsp;The&nbsp;whole&nbsp;day&nbsp;felt&nbsp;soft&nbsp;and&nbsp;golden,&nbsp;like&nbsp;the&nbsp;universe&nbsp;was&nbsp;holding&nbsp;its&nbsp;breath.&nbsp;Around&nbsp;sunset,&nbsp;he&nbsp;suggested&nbsp;we&nbsp;go&nbsp;to&nbsp;North&nbsp;Avenue&nbsp;Beach.&nbsp;I&nbsp;thought&nbsp;we&nbsp;were&nbsp;just&nbsp;walking,&nbsp;just&nbsp;enjoying&nbsp;the&nbsp;view. But&nbsp;as&nbsp;we&nbsp;stood&nbsp;there,&nbsp;the&nbsp;sky&nbsp;blushing&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;setting&nbsp;sun,&nbsp;Joey&nbsp;turned&nbsp;to&nbsp;me&nbsp;with&nbsp;that&nbsp;look&nbsp;in&nbsp;his&nbsp;eyes—the&nbsp;one&nbsp;that&nbsp;melts&nbsp;me&nbsp;every&nbsp;time.&nbsp;He&nbsp;got&nbsp;down&nbsp;on&nbsp;one&nbsp;knee,&nbsp;and&nbsp;in&nbsp;that&nbsp;moment,&nbsp;my&nbsp;world&nbsp;stood&nbsp;still. What&nbsp;happened&nbsp;next&nbsp;wasn’t&nbsp;just&nbsp;romantic—it&nbsp;was&nbsp;biblical&nbsp;for&nbsp;me.&nbsp;I&nbsp;felt&nbsp;the&nbsp;presence&nbsp;of&nbsp;God&nbsp;so&nbsp;clearly&nbsp;in&nbsp;that&nbsp;moment,&nbsp;like&nbsp;He&nbsp;had&nbsp;been&nbsp;guiding&nbsp;our&nbsp;steps&nbsp;all&nbsp;along,&nbsp;leading&nbsp;us&nbsp;to&nbsp;this&nbsp;sacred&nbsp;place.&nbsp;The&nbsp;peace&nbsp;that&nbsp;washed&nbsp;over&nbsp;me&nbsp;was&nbsp;unlike&nbsp;anything&nbsp;I’d&nbsp;ever&nbsp;felt&nbsp;before—a&nbsp;holy&nbsp;stillness,&nbsp;a&nbsp;whispered&nbsp;confirmation&nbsp;from&nbsp;above;&nbsp;"This&nbsp;is&nbsp;the&nbsp;man&nbsp;I&nbsp;created&nbsp;for&nbsp;you."&nbsp;My&nbsp;heart&nbsp;felt&nbsp;like&nbsp;it&nbsp;might&nbsp;burst.&nbsp;I&nbsp;said&nbsp;“yes”&nbsp;through&nbsp;happy&nbsp;tears,&nbsp;knowing&nbsp;I&nbsp;wasn’t&nbsp;just&nbsp;saying&nbsp;yes&nbsp;to&nbsp;a&nbsp;future—I&nbsp;was&nbsp;stepping&nbsp;into&nbsp;a&nbsp;promise. And&nbsp;then,&nbsp;to&nbsp;my&nbsp;surprise,&nbsp;our&nbsp;family&nbsp;and&nbsp;friends&nbsp;appeared,&nbsp;cheering&nbsp;and&nbsp;hugging&nbsp;and&nbsp;crying&nbsp;with&nbsp;us.&nbsp;Joey&nbsp;had&nbsp;thought&nbsp;of&nbsp;everything.&nbsp;He&nbsp;gave&nbsp;me&nbsp;a&nbsp;proposal&nbsp;filled&nbsp;with&nbsp;heart,&nbsp;intention,&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;love&nbsp;so&nbsp;pure&nbsp;it&nbsp;echoed&nbsp;every&nbsp;prayer&nbsp;I&nbsp;had&nbsp;ever&nbsp;whispered. But&nbsp;beyond&nbsp;the&nbsp;big&nbsp;moments&nbsp;and&nbsp;milestones,&nbsp;it’s&nbsp;the&nbsp;little&nbsp;things&nbsp;we&nbsp;do&nbsp;together&nbsp;that&nbsp;make&nbsp;our&nbsp;relationship&nbsp;so&nbsp;special.&nbsp;We&nbsp;find&nbsp;joy&nbsp;in&nbsp;laughing&nbsp;at&nbsp;our&nbsp;own&nbsp;inside&nbsp;jokes,&nbsp;in&nbsp;those&nbsp;silly,&nbsp;carefree&nbsp;moments&nbsp;that&nbsp;remind&nbsp;us&nbsp;of&nbsp;how&nbsp;much&nbsp;we&nbsp;enjoy&nbsp;each&nbsp;other's&nbsp;company.&nbsp;Whether&nbsp;it's&nbsp;taking&nbsp;our&nbsp;dogs&nbsp;to&nbsp;a&nbsp;drive-in&nbsp;movie&nbsp;or&nbsp;grocery&nbsp;shopping&nbsp;together,&nbsp;there’s&nbsp;a&nbsp;simple&nbsp;happiness&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;everyday&nbsp;things.&nbsp;&nbsp;And&nbsp;sometimes,&nbsp;the&nbsp;best&nbsp;nights&nbsp;are&nbsp;the&nbsp;ones&nbsp;we&nbsp;spend&nbsp;at&nbsp;home,&nbsp;dancing&nbsp;in&nbsp;our&nbsp;kitchen&nbsp;to&nbsp;our&nbsp;favorite&nbsp;songs,&nbsp;as&nbsp;though&nbsp;the&nbsp;world&nbsp;outside&nbsp;doesn’t&nbsp;exist.&nbsp;These&nbsp;small,&nbsp;simple&nbsp;moments&nbsp;are&nbsp;where&nbsp;our&nbsp;love&nbsp;truly&nbsp;thrives. Through&nbsp;all&nbsp;of&nbsp;these&nbsp;moments,&nbsp;there’s&nbsp;one&nbsp;thing&nbsp;I&nbsp;know&nbsp;for&nbsp;sure:&nbsp;Joey&nbsp;is&nbsp;my&nbsp;forever&nbsp;dance&nbsp;partner.&nbsp;Whether&nbsp;we’re&nbsp;dancing&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;parking&nbsp;lot&nbsp;after&nbsp;a&nbsp;perfect&nbsp;date&nbsp;or&nbsp;swaying&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;kitchen&nbsp;to&nbsp;our&nbsp;favorite&nbsp;song,&nbsp;I&nbsp;know&nbsp;that&nbsp;Joey&nbsp;will&nbsp;always&nbsp;be&nbsp;the&nbsp;one&nbsp;I’ll&nbsp;share&nbsp;every&nbsp;dance&nbsp;with,&nbsp;no&nbsp;matter&nbsp;where&nbsp;life&nbsp;takes&nbsp;us.&nbsp;Our&nbsp;dances&nbsp;may&nbsp;not&nbsp;always&nbsp;have&nbsp;perfect&nbsp;choreography,&nbsp;but&nbsp;they’re&nbsp;filled&nbsp;with&nbsp;love,&nbsp;joy,&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;comfort&nbsp;of&nbsp;knowing&nbsp;we’re&nbsp;in&nbsp;this&nbsp;together.&nbsp;He’s&nbsp;the&nbsp;one&nbsp;I’ll&nbsp;hold&nbsp;onto,&nbsp;the&nbsp;one&nbsp;I’ll&nbsp;move&nbsp;with,&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;one&nbsp;I’ll&nbsp;never&nbsp;let&nbsp;go&nbsp;of. &nbsp;We&nbsp;realized&nbsp;that&nbsp;love&nbsp;isn’t&nbsp;just&nbsp;about&nbsp;the&nbsp;good&nbsp;times—it’s&nbsp;about&nbsp;weathering&nbsp;the&nbsp;storms&nbsp;together&nbsp;and&nbsp;coming&nbsp;out&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;other&nbsp;side,&nbsp;stronger&nbsp;and&nbsp;more&nbsp;connected&nbsp;than&nbsp;before.&nbsp;Joey&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;are&nbsp;a&nbsp;team,&nbsp;and&nbsp;every&nbsp;challenge&nbsp;we've&nbsp;faced&nbsp;has&nbsp;only&nbsp;made&nbsp;our&nbsp;bond&nbsp;more&nbsp;unbreakable.&nbsp;With&nbsp;each&nbsp;other,&nbsp;with&nbsp;our&nbsp;families,&nbsp;and&nbsp;with&nbsp;the&nbsp;life&nbsp;we’re&nbsp;building,&nbsp;I&nbsp;know&nbsp;that&nbsp;we&nbsp;have&nbsp;something&nbsp;truly&nbsp;special. Our&nbsp;story&nbsp;is&nbsp;still&nbsp;being&nbsp;written,&nbsp;but&nbsp;I&nbsp;know&nbsp;one&nbsp;thing&nbsp;for&nbsp;sure:&nbsp;there&nbsp;is&nbsp;no&nbsp;one&nbsp;I’d&nbsp;rather&nbsp;be&nbsp;on&nbsp;this&nbsp;journey&nbsp;with&nbsp;than&nbsp;Joey,&nbsp;my&nbsp;forever&nbsp;dance&nbsp;partner.

I’m beyond grateful to introduce my Matron of Honor, Aleeah. When I first met her through Joey, she was simply his sister—someone I was just beginning to know. But over time, something really beautiful happened. Our relationship grew into its own friendship, and little by little, she became like a sister to me in every way that matters. Now, I feel so blessed to not only see her as a sister, but to actually get to call her one.

Some of my sweetest memories with Aleeah are the weekends we’ve spent at Joey’s parents’ house—sharing meals, laughing late into the night, and just enjoying being together as a family. Since the moment Joey and I got engaged, she has gone above and beyond to make me feel so loved and supported. From check-in messages, to thoughtful reminders, to helping in every way she can, she has poured so much of her heart into making sure this season has been filled with joy and love.

I so deeply admire how Joey’s family is centered around love, faith, and togetherness—and I couldn’t be more excited to officially be a part of it. And with Aleeah, my admiration runs even deeper. I look up to her not only as a woman and a sister, but for the way she carries herself with grace, and strength. I admire her faith, and I admire the beautiful example she sets in her marriage. She inspires me in so many ways, and I feel incredibly blessed to have her as both my sister and my Matron of Honor.

Aleeah, I love you deeply and I’m endlessly grateful for you. I couldn’t imagine this day without you, and I can’t wait for all the memories we’ll continue to create together, side by side as sisters.

I'm over the moon excited to introduce one of my Matron's of Honor, Marrieta.  From the very first moment I met Marietta—nervous and unsure at a bowling alley eight years ago—she welcomed me with open arms immediately alongside their friends who i had never met before. I still remember how anxious I felt walking in, but she made me feel instantly at home, like I truly belonged. Since then, she has become so much more than just Joey’s cousin to me—she’s been a constant friend, someone who took the time to truly know me and love me for exactly who I am.
Over the years, we’ve shared so many special memories together: fun double dates, weekend getaways, visits to see each other, holidays with family, and countless little moments that mean the world to me. One of my favorites was introducing our puppies, Pixie and Taki, and watching them become the best of friends. 🐾❤️
But what has always meant the most is the way Marrieta loves Joey. The way she believes in him, supports him, and shows up for him fills my heart in ways I can’t explain. To see someone love the person you love with such sincerity and care is such a gift.
Marrieta, I admire the strong amazing woman you are, the way you carry yourself and the love you pour into all your family and friends You inspire me, and I feel so blessed to look up to you not only as a friend but now family. I cannot wait to have you stand by my side on the most beautiful day of my life. Love you to the moon and back.

Sophie may be my younger sister, but in so many ways, she’s been my biggest teacher—showing me what it means to love with your whole heart, to speak your mind unapologetically, and to always show up for the people who matter.
I still remember the moment I found out I was going to be a big sister. I was over-the-moon excited. From the very beginning, I couldn’t wait to love her, protect her, and be the best big sister I could possibly be. And the moment she arrived, I loved her with everything I had—and I still do, more and more with every passing day.

She’s grown into the most incredible person—smart, strong, hilarious, and full of so much heart. She’s the one who knows how to make me laugh when I need it most, who tells it like it is, who sees through the nonsense and gets straight to what matters. Being her big sister is one of the greatest joys of my life.

Sophia Keun

I’d love to take a moment to introduce someone who means so much to me—my cousin, Sophia. We didn’t officially meet in person until my 16th birthday, when my mom surprised me with a trip to Arizona. I’ll never forget that moment. From the second we met, we clicked—it felt like we’d known each other our whole lives. I just knew we were going to be close. We’ve made some of my favorite memories together: trips to California, binge-watching Pretty Little Liars for hours, prank calling people just to make each other laugh, and talking about boys all the time (seriously, we could talk for hours!). It’s been years of laughter, inside jokes, and the kind of bond that just keeps growing. When I got engaged, asking her to be one of my bridesmaids was one of the easiest and most exciting decisions. I couldn’t imagine this day without her. And when I asked, seeing the look on her face made my heart feel so warm and fuzzy—it’s a moment I’ll always remember. Sophia is such a beautiful soul—inside and out. She’s kind, loyal, funny, and full of so much love. I’m beyond grateful to have her in my life and so excited to share this next chapter with her by my side. I love you so much, Soph!!

I want to take a moment to introduce my wonderful friend, Brenna.

You know, people don’t talk enough about the friendships we form as adults. When you're a kid, making friends seems easy—but as life gets busier and more complicated, finding someone who truly gets you becomes more rare. That’s why I consider myself incredibly lucky to have met Brenna when I did.

We met through work, but what started as casual conversations and shared responsibilities quickly turned into a bond I now hold so close to my heart. Whether it's our long rant sessions that make us laugh until we cry, or those deep,talks about everything from dreams to doubts, Brenna has become someone I can trust with the realest parts of myself.
She has a way of making people feel seen and heard, and she always shows up—with compassion, with humor, with strength. During even the hardest days, she brings light. She’s the kind of friend who celebrates your wins like they’re her own, and who sits with you quietly when words aren’t enough.
Brenna, you have given me so many reasons to laugh, to feel understood, and to feel loved—just as I am. You’ve taught me what it means to be fully present for someone else, and your friendship has truly changed my life.
As I prepare for this next chapter—marrying the love of my life—it means the world to me to have you by my side. Your support, your love, and just your presence make everything more meaningful. I couldn’t imagine this day without you.

It&nbsp;means&nbsp;so&nbsp;much&nbsp;to&nbsp;introduce&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;my&nbsp;bridesmaids,&nbsp;Kaleigh.&nbsp;We&nbsp;first&nbsp;met&nbsp;through&nbsp;Jaylen—Joey’s&nbsp;best&nbsp;man—and&nbsp;what&nbsp;started&nbsp;as&nbsp;a&nbsp;simple&nbsp;connection&nbsp;quickly&nbsp;grew&nbsp;into&nbsp;a&nbsp;truly&nbsp;special&nbsp;friendship.&nbsp;We&nbsp;didn’t&nbsp;realize&nbsp;at&nbsp;first&nbsp;just&nbsp;how&nbsp;much&nbsp;we&nbsp;had&nbsp;in&nbsp;common,&nbsp;but&nbsp;over&nbsp;time,&nbsp;we&nbsp;discovered&nbsp;a&nbsp;shared&nbsp;love&nbsp;for&nbsp;murder&nbsp;mystery&nbsp;shows,&nbsp;girls’&nbsp;days,&nbsp;reality&nbsp;TV&nbsp;marathons,&nbsp;and&nbsp;so&nbsp;many&nbsp;little&nbsp;things&nbsp;that&nbsp;brought&nbsp;us&nbsp;closer.Some&nbsp;of&nbsp;my&nbsp;favorite&nbsp;memories&nbsp;with&nbsp;Kaleigh&nbsp;include&nbsp;the&nbsp;couple&nbsp;vacations&nbsp;we’ve&nbsp;taken&nbsp;together&nbsp;and&nbsp;all&nbsp;the&nbsp;birthdays&nbsp;we’ve&nbsp;celebrated&nbsp;side&nbsp;by&nbsp;side.&nbsp;Through&nbsp;every&nbsp;season,&nbsp;she&nbsp;has&nbsp;been&nbsp;a&nbsp;constant&nbsp;source&nbsp;of&nbsp;joy,&nbsp;laughter,&nbsp;and&nbsp;support—not&nbsp;just&nbsp;to&nbsp;me,&nbsp;but&nbsp;to&nbsp;Joey&nbsp;and&nbsp;our&nbsp;relationship&nbsp;as&nbsp;well.&nbsp;Her&nbsp;friendship&nbsp;has&nbsp;been&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;most&nbsp;unexpected&nbsp;and&nbsp;beautiful&nbsp;blessings,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I’m&nbsp;so&nbsp;honored&nbsp;to&nbsp;have&nbsp;her&nbsp;by&nbsp;my&nbsp;side&nbsp;on&nbsp;such&nbsp;a&nbsp;meaningful&nbsp;day.

This is Joey's boy Jaylen!!  Jaylen and Joey first met freshman year of high school when, by chance, they were partnered up for a series of assignments. One day, Joey was watching Epic Rap Battles of History on YouTube, and Jaylen immediately noticed—he was a fan too.  They shared  stories and quickly became a dynamic duo.
Not long after, they discovered that Jaylen lived just around the corner, which led to countless hangouts and an even stronger bond. Throughout high school, they were inseparable—goofing off in class, trading movie references that no one else understood, and creating memories that have lasted well beyond graduation.
Over the years, Jaylen has been more than a best friend to Joey—he’s been like a brother. He’s the kind of person who always shows up, brings laughter, and makes life better just by being there. Joey couldn’t be prouder to have him standing by his side as his best man.

Mr.Hunter Holland! Joey first met Hunter in his junior year of high school in a biology class. This class was filled with kids who loved pushing the limits of their teacher. After school, some of the guys from that class would jump on Xbox to play Minecraft, trading jokes and laughter late into the evening.
For a while after that year, Joey and Hunter didn’t talk much—until they crossed paths again through Jaylen. One random day while playing Call of Duty, Hunter sent Joey a message to team up. What started as a quick game turned into hours of laughter, and from that moment, their friendship picked up like it had always been there.
Together with Jaylen, they went on to spend countless hours gaming—locking in on Halo or finding random games that would have them laughing until they cried. Over the years, Hunter has shown himself to be a loyal, steady friend—the kind of guy who always has your back. Joey couldn’t be happier to have him standing by his side as one of his groomsmen.


Hunter Holland 

Kuya!! Joey has never called his cousin by his first name—he’s always just been “Kuya,” which in Tagalog means brother/older sibling (fun fact!). From the very beginning, Kuya has been one of the smartest people Joey has known and someone he’s always looked up to. When Joey was younger, he remembers watching Kuya play video games, which probably sparked Joey’s own love for gaming. Kuya even let him borrow PS3 games, creating memories that stuck.
Growing up, Joey and his sister were lucky to have cousins who were deeply involved in their lives. Kuya was right there—babysitting them during summers, taking them to the water park, spending days at Six Flags, and welcoming them into his circle of friends. Those moments built a connection that Joey has always treasured.
To Joey, Kuya has been more than just family; he’s been a role model, a source of laughter, and a constant presence over the years. Joey is proud and grateful to have him standing by his side as one of his groomsmen.

Luisito Aquino 

The Bryster!! Joey can’t pinpoint exactly when he first met Bryan. Spending so many summers with his cousins, one day Bryan was simply there—and from then on, he was part of the picture. Before long, Bryan was dating Joey’s cousin Marrietta, and Joey can’t remember a family gathering, trip to Six Flags, or celebration where “The Bryster” wasn’t around.
Back in middle school, Joey was probably like an annoying little brother whenever Bryan came around, but Bryan always welcomed him with patience and kindness. As Joey got older, both his cousins and Bryan were there to support him, offering advice and help whenever he needed it.
One memory that has always stayed with Joey was when Marrietta and Bryan secretly shared their engagement news with him before telling the rest of the family. Joey kept it so secret that by the time they announced it, he was genuinely surprised all over again. Later, when Bryan asked Joey to be one of his groomsmen, it became a moment Joey would never forget—it was the first time he had ever been asked to stand in someone’s wedding.
Now, as Joey prepares for his own wedding, he’s honored to return the gesture and couldn’t be happier to have Bryan standing by his side as one of his groomsmen.

Bryan Cavanaugh

Joey and Dane’s story goes all the way back to middle school. For years, theirs was a friendship built on small moments—acknowledging each other in the hallways, sharing a few classes here and there, and always having mutual respect. In fact, in eighth grade, when they shared advisory and English, Joey remembers talking more with Dane’s twin sister, Zoey, than with Dane himself.
It wasn’t until college that their friendship truly began. On the first day of his sophomore-year biology class, Joey walked into a nearly full room, scanning for a place to sit and hoping to blend into the background. Then he heard his name. Looking up, he saw Dane with a big smile, just as relieved to see a familiar face. That moment marked the beginning of a much deeper bond.
From then on, they were inseparable in that class—lab partners by choice, study partners at Starbucks in the mornings, and friends who could laugh about how much their professor seemed to dislike their group. It was during those mornings that Joey shared his love of photography, a passion Dane soon picked up himself. When he got his own camera, Joey had the chance to teach him, creating yet another connection between them.
Looking back, Joey sees how their friendship grew from quiet acknowledgments in school hallways to a brother bond built in college. Dane has become one of Joey’s closest friends—someone he admires, trusts, and is grateful for. Having Dane as one of his groomsmen is a reminder of how lasting friendships can sometimes take years to truly unfold but are worth every moment once they do.


Dane Hornstein

Dougie Doug! Joey first met Doug while visiting Dane at ISU, where Doug was his roommate. From the very first day Joey knew there was a friendship that would grow stronger over time. When Joey and Hannah later moved to Bloomington, they lived just across the apartment complex from Doug, giving them even more opportunities to share meals, movies, and countless nights of games.
During one of those hangouts, they discovered they had gone to the same high school and even graduated in the same year. Amazingly, they had been in the same second-period drivers ed class all along, with Joey in the front and Doug in the back, never realizing how close they had been all those years. 
Over the years, Doug has been a constant source of support, laughter, and kindness—someone who always shows up, who cares deeply. Doug is family without a doubt. Joey is grateful for every shared memory and every moment of friendship, and he couldn’t imagine his wedding day without Doug standing by his side as one of his groomsmen.


Doug Soto

Martwone is one of Joey’s oldest friends, a bond that goes all the way back to Greenbrook Elementary, along with their friend Kevon. Somewhere along the way, while playing video games, Martwone gave Joey the nickname “Jojo.” Joey never really had a nickname before, but over time, it just stuck.
Throughout middle school, they spent countless hours playing Call of Duty Zombies until 4 a.m., and in high school, they stayed up just as late playing GTA 5. Their conversations weren’t just about games—they talked about life, imagining where they’d be when they grew up, getting married, having families, and making their mark in the world.
Even after high school, Martwone and Kevon remained some of the few friends who would call just to check in, with no agenda other than to genuinely stay connected. Through all the years of laughter, late-night gaming, and shared dreams, Joey has cherished this friendship deeply. He’s honored to have Martwone by his side as one of his groomsmen—a reminder of how meaningful lifelong friendships are.
