The venue is called Botanica and it's located in the hills of Oceanside. It is 9 miles inland from the coast, approximately a 20-25 minute drive away from the beach. It's halfway between the 5 Freeway and the 15. Both the ceremony and reception will be taking place at the venue.

During July the weather is typically high 70’s, or in rare cases low 80's until sunset at 8:02pm. Only two hours of our night will be spent in the moonlight when temperatures drop to mid 60’s. The reception is tented for shade and the venue receives a nice breeze during the day.

The colors are neutral. Think creams, tan, brown, and ivory. If you are unsure what color to wear, black is a safe option that we don’t mind! Immediate family - earth/neutral tones or black is encouraged. The dress code is cocktail attire which is more refined than casual wear but less formal than black-tie. The wedding is outdoors with paved walkways and a synthetic grass lawn so shoes will stay clean and heels won’t poke through. The reception is outside, but tented to keep it cool. Since this is an outdoor summer wedding, long sleeves, suits and jackets are not recommended. Only two hours of our night will be spent in the moonlight so if you're not on the dance floor, a sweater or cover up may do. For women, your outfit may include long or short dresses, or elegant separates. Men may opt for short-sleeve dress shirts, slacks, and blazers. The emphasis is on looking polished and stylish while considering the comfort and suitability for an outdoor event.

The goal is to keep this very special day as intimate as possible so the couple is choosing to celebrate with only their closest family and friends. Thank you for respecting these wishes.

Although your children are loved, the couple has decided to make their big day an adult-only event. Let loose, relax and have fun, enjoying a stress-free night out!

The rehearsal is assigned by the venue on Friday in Oceanside and only requires the wedding party. Guests are free from wedding obligations to spend their time leading up to the ceremony as they wish. Joey and Taryn look forward to seeing friends and family on the Big Day!

Once Joey and Taryn have received RSVP's and confirmed where the majority of the guests will be staying, arrangements can be made for a group ride to and from the venue. After booking your stay, please leave a note under the "RSVP" section to assist the couple in coordinating transportation.

Joey and Taryn head to Oceanside on Friday, July 5th to finalize wedding preparations and will be returning back to Huntington Beach on Sunday after noon. The drive to and from OC is about an hour and a half. It is not necessary to stay more then one night unless friends and family who are traveling choose to enjoy their stay at Oceanside's shore. It is recommended to stay overnight Saturday for those who do not want to drive home after a fun night of celebrating!

Although the couple would love to celebrate with everyone, conflicting schedules and wedding preparations make this a difficult task to coordinate. Whether you're spending the holiday in Huntington Beach or Oceanside, explore the "Things To Do" section for local ideas. Bonfires on the beach to watch the fireworks is a great idea for people to meet if a pit is secured early enough. As for the couple, they typically spend their Fourth of July riding their electric scooters down by the beach in Huntington riding from spot to spot visiting friends and family.
