Formal attire. This is your chance to dress for an enchanted evening to celebrate the bride and groom at their storybook wedding.
Guests are encouraged to wear attire that fits a formal dress code, but not black tie. For men, they should wear a dark suit with a shirt and tie (if they don’t wish to wear a tuxedo). Women should wear a floor-length gown, a glamorous pantsuit, or dressy separates. Women and men must have their shoulders covered during the church ceremony. A wrap or a sweater is needed if your attire bares your shoulders.
What will the weather be like in North Carolina in October?
We have experienced weather in the high 70s, falling to the mid 50s after sunset in October. We encourage you to bring a wrap, jacket, or sweater for the evening to enjoy the outdoor patio at the reception.
Are children allowed?
While we love all your children we would like our special day to be adults only. Please treat this event as a fun date night! Children under the age of 18 years old will not be invited.

What should you do in between our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour?
Feel free to use this time to go back to your hotel/home and freshen up! If you wish to change into your formal attire for the reception, this is a great time. The bride and groom will be taking pictures with family at the church before greeting guests at cocktail hour. Check out our “Things To Do” page for more ideas.
