When they were both studying at Texas Tech University, their paths crossed while hanging out with mutual friends. In the summer of 2021, JT asked for Lucy's number, and that marked the beginning of our relationship.

Soon after, JT returned home to Texas City for summer break. These months were filled with constant communication, despite the distance. Lucy was working as an engineer in XFab and pursuing her MBA.

Once JT returned to Lubbock, he invited Lucy on a special dinner date, followed by a cozy evening making brownies at his apartment. In the following weeks every free moment was spent together either out on the town, or inside binge watching shows.

On September 17th, 2021, JT asked Lucy to be his girlfriend, and without hesitation, Lucy said yes! Their days were then filled with the excitement of college life: Texas Tech games, eating at our favorite restaurants, and spending time with friends.

After what felt like no time at all, they met each other's parents! Shortly after, Lucy graduated with her MBA, celebrating with family in Austin, where JT also joined in the festivities.

The seasons unfolded with shared moments of joy during Christmas and New Years. As Lucy continued working at Xfab, JT completed his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering. In May, they celebrated JT's graduation, a significant milestone. He then decided to stay in school to further his education with a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering.

Although Lucy had concluded her time in Texas Tech, she decided to remain in Lubbock while working in Xfab, so they wouldn’t have to do long distance. Both of them had a blast, while their relationship grew stronger.

Towards the end of 2023, on September 16th, in the picturesque Ruidoso, New Mexico, JT asked Lucy to be his forever. With overwhelming joy, Lucy said yes!

After this milestone, JT defended his thesis and also passed his Fundamental Engineering Exam, which led him to graduate with a masters in Electrical Engineering. He also completed his Pilot's License and has taken Lucy flying over the beautiful south plains.

And so, our story continues with the anticipation of our wedding day, May 26th. We can't wait to embark on this new chapter together.
