"How did you guys meet?" is a question that comes up quite often in conversations now that John Davis and I are engaged. For us our love story began over Snapchat. John Davis struck up the conversation which lead to us talking daily. Eventually, we ended up planning our first date. We chose to do go watch a movie and go out to eat. To this day I cannot tell you what movie we went to watch, but I do clearly remember how unexplainably comfortable I felt around him. The restaurant we ate at was also a total flop, but the conversation flowed effortlessly. We talked like we had known each other for years. We were able to cut up and have a ball. Thinking back its funny to see what I would have considered an awful date to be the start of our story together.

JD planned a trip to Savannah for my 22 birthday. He kept saying he had a big surprised planned. So, obviously I began to wonder if a proposal was on the horizon. The surprise ended up being my best friends and the four of us had an absolutely wonderful time. It was one of the best trips I have ever been on. When I walked away from that weekend without a ring I was convinced the proposal wouldn't happen until next summer since we had discussed that I wanted it to happen in the summer time.

Little did I know that some family photos would turn into one of the best days of my life. JD caught me by total surprise and I am so incredibly excited to get to marry my best friend!
