John and I met at a friend's house in Boston one summer night before school started. Our first conversation was about Edith Stein...so you can guess where this is going. The fall was busy with teaching and we didn't see each other again. Until, later in December, he invited me to his house's Christmas party. I was already invited, and wondered if I could somehow make it to two Christmas parties that night... it turns out it was also his birthday and he talked to me the whole evening! As I was leaving, he asked to get coffee to "talk about teaching." We in fact talked about other things and that first conversation led to many more! We share a deep devotion to Our Lady of Fairest Love and are incredibly blessed to have met each other in Boston (and we're both from Maryland!). Two teachers, with students who created this masterpiece of a comic...John and I couldn't be more excited to start our lives together!
