John and Kaitlynn grew up together in the Royse City school district and later shared several classes in high school. During their sophomore year, John asked Kaitlynn to homecoming, and at the football game that night, he asked her to be his girlfriend. Obviously she said "yes," and they've been together ever since! They graduated together in 2020.

After high school, John pursued his passion for football while working towards a degree in History, and Kaitlynn decided to stay close to home to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Education at Texas A&M Commerce.

Though they faced the challenge of long-distance while in college, it only made their bond stronger. This was definitely different for them both but it didn’t stop their love from growing for one another. Kaitlynn and John's parents would make it a point to visit by going to John’s football games and spending quality time together.

John and Kaitlynn enjoy spending time with family and friends and cherish reading the Bible together. They continue to strengthen their relationship with God at the center. On September 22, 2024, they celebrated seven years of dating and are excited to see what God has in store for their future together.
