Q + A

How do I RSVP?

Please RSVP online by searching your name under the "RSVP" section of our website.

What is the easiest way to get to and from our wedding venues?

If you are staying outside of downtown Cincinnati, you will need to plan to rent a car or use a ride share app. Free parking is available all day at the Bell Event Centre, which is just a half a mile walk from St. Francis Xavier Church. There is also a parking lot north of the church at the corner of Seventh Street and Sycamore Street if you would prefer to drive between the two. Parking in the lot can be paid at a booth and typically costs $5-15.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

We have not reserved blocks of rooms at local hotels. Of note, we have been perusing the local hotel listings for the weekend of our wedding, and prices have been running higher than usual. We recommend booking a room as soon as possible once you know you can make it. AirBnb and Vrbo are also great options in the area, but be cautious if you are not familiar with Cincinnati. Cincinnati has a neighborhood feel, and the vibe and safety can vary significantly from street to street. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Delaney or John prior to booking if you are looking for recommendations or advice.

What is the dress code?

Semi-formal

What is the weather like in Cincinnati in July?

In July, highs are typically in the upper 80s and lows are in the 60s. Since Cincinnati is a riverfront city, it can be deceptively humid, so plan accordingly.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately, we can only accommodate plus ones if one is specifically listed on your invitation.

Can I bring my children?

Yes, you may bring your children to our wedding if invited and you would like. We will not have an on-site babysitter.

What time should I arrive to your wedding ceremony?

Please aim to be in your seat 15 minutes prior to the start of our church ceremony. The walk from the parking lot at the Bell takes about 10-15 minutes, so please plan accordingly if you plan to park there.

May I receive communion at your wedding?

As Catholics, we believe that the Eucharist is the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ. We ask that if you are not Catholic, you do not receive communion during mass. You are welcome and encouraged to come forward with your arms crossed across your chest for a blessing.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Yes, there will be a gap of 2-3 hours between the conclusion of our ceremony and the start of our reception, which will kick off with a cocktail hour. Please feel free to check out any of the activities on our "Things to Do" page. Many are in walking distance from both of our venues!

Are you changing your names?

Delaney will keep her last name professionally, but feel free to call us "the Kollars," socially.
