Can I bring a plus one?
If your guest name is listed on your invite or you have a plus one option listed when RSVP, then yes! Otherwise, we would like to keep our wedding as intimate as possible with close family and friends
Will transportation be provided?
Yes, we will be offering a shuttle for AFTER the reception from 8:30pm to 11pm for those within a 15 minute drive from the venue. Please let us know if you will be interested in this so we are able to coordinate it better.
Can I park and leave my car overnight at the venue?
Yes! There will be a designated parking area where you can leave your car to retrieve in the morning. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the Cottages to Bullock Lake Farm.
Where is your gift registry?
We have chosen not to have a traditional registry because we feel that we truly have all the 'things' that we need. We have instead chosen to make a honeymoon fund, if you wish to contribute to this please see the 'Registry' tab on the website for instructions .
Are children invited?
We have invited the children of a couple close family and friends but otherwise we would prefer that you leave your little ones at home for the night.
Can I bring my pet?
Unfortunately, given that this is a farm with its own animals, it would be best if no furry friends came along
Is there a dress code?
No, the venue is a farm so casual dress is encouraged. Our ceremony will be outdoors so please dress for the weather and due to the terrain we recommend you ditch the high heels.
What time should I arrive to the event?
We ask that our guests please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the ceremony which is at 3pm. You may arrive as early as 2:30 if you wish. For details and a plan for the rest of the event please see the 'Schedule of Events' tab on the website.
Can I take photos or bring my phone?
We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos and using your phone at the ceremony to keep the focus on love and the commitment we are making to one another. We have a wonderful photographer and videographer who will capture it all and we will be sure to share that with our guests.
What should I do if I can't make it?
We will be sad to miss you but we understand how busy life can be. We kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible and please see the 'RSVP by" deadline printed on your invitation.
What time do guests need to be out of the venue?
11pm
Do you have recommendations on where to stay?
Yes! Please see the 'Travel' tab on the website
Should I book a ferry from Vancouver to Salt Spring Island in advance?
Yes! The ferries are very busy in the summer so we recommend making reservations for your sailing on the BC Ferries website in advance. Please see 'Travel' tab on the website for link to BC Ferries page
Are there grocery stores on the island?
Yes, but they are limited as this is a small island. Ganges is the main city on the island and there is a Thrify Foods in the city center as well as few other small grocery-type shops. There are also farm stands throughout this island, which is a great place to get fresh fruit and vegetables!
Do you have restaurant recommendations?
Yes! Please see the ‘Things to Do’ tab on the website
