John & Gabrielle met when completing their bachelor's degrees at The University of Florida in 2015. After talking for a few months & getting to know each other, they began dating December 5th, 2015.

After Gabrielle completed her English bachelor's degree & her Master of Fine Arts degree in Poetry & John completed his business bachelor's degree & his Master's in Medical Science, they moved into an apartment together while he completed medical school.

In 2023, John began his transition year before his Radiology Residency through USF, John & Gabrielle moved into their first home together, & they adopted their cats, Custard & Gelato, from the Humane Society.

Eight years & 1 week after they started dating, John proposed at New York City's Rockefeller Center while they were ice-skating among the Christmas lights. John had the rink cleared (disguised as the staff needing to Zamboni the ice) & when Gabby began to get confused as John kept her skating, "Now and Then" by the Beatles began playing from the speakers as he got down on one knee!

They are so excited to be getting married 1 year after their engagement, 9 years & 1 week after they began dating, & to celebrate their love with all of you!
