For those who don't know our story, John and I met two and a half years ago in Dallas. John had been working in Dallas for a couple of years while I was just starting my first job our of college in a big new city! Looking to make new friends, I joined a gym nearby and become a regular at 5 am. I noticed there was an attractive guy who was also a 5 am regular but didn't summon the courage to introduce myself. Fast forward a few months, and I head in my office on an average Tuesday. As I enter the elevator I notice the cute boy I've seen at the gym step in and head to his floor... I took it as a sign to introduce myself to John a couple days later while using a nearby bench at the gym. Apparently, John is not at the gym to make friends, and quickly turned back to complete his set. For two months we don't have another conversation, until one day in July I'm at the gym and guess who decides to start a conversation! After hearing about his work, golf obsession, and family, we finally decide to have lunch the next week. And after our first date I knew I had found someone special. The text I sent afterwards was "I have never laughed harder on a first date." - Halley

If you're looking to spend more time in Texas, John and I would highly recommend checking out the Fort Worth Stockyards. Second Rodeo Brewing is our favorite spot to enjoy a drink before heading to the rodeo!

There's plenty of sports teams based in Dallas... John and I's favorites to watch are the Stars and the Rangers. If there is a game scheduled, we would recommend heading to Arlington early, getting a beer at Texas Live, and enjoying the game in the (air conditioned) stadium!

Located next door to John and I's old office building (where I first saw John in the elevator) is the science museum! They have activities for those of all ages and sometimes bring food trucks to enjoy while visiting!
