Is our Wedding Themed?
Yes! Slightly, we are doing a Lord of the Rings themed wedding. There won't be goblins, dwarves or elves running about, but there will be some tasteful decor, and colors amongst other things to give our wedding the right touch of Lord of the Rings.
Are the wedding ceremony and the reception at the same venue?
YES! Both the Ceremony and Reception will be at KilBuck Creek Monroe Center IL.
How do I get to the Venue?
Kilbuck Creek is located about 15-20min south of Rockford off of Interstate 39. If you are coming south from Rockford, on 39, take exit 111 to go west onto IL72 Byron Genoa. You will then make a right hand turn going north onto Kilbuck Rd. About 2 miles on Kilbuck Rd you will see a sign for Kilbuck Creek on your left hand side, take the backroad until you see a sign for parking. If coming north on I39 still look for the 111 exit to go west onto IL72.
What do I do if I can’t make it?
Please RSVP that you 'can not' make it and/or please let either Johnny or Anna know as soon as you are able to.
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget and to avoid extra fees for unaccounted guests from our catering service. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.
Will the ceremony or reception be indoors or outdoors?
The plan is for the ceremony to be outside, so please keep an eye on the weather in case jackets will be needed. If it rains on the day of the wedding, the ceremony will then be indoors, The reception will be held indoors and there are also outdoor spaces to hangout as well.
Can we take photos at the ceremony?
We ask that you please let the photographer do their job. We understand everyone wants a photo and we promise to provide them after the wedding.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes it is. The reception area has a ramp. There will also be golf carts to help bring guests down to the ceremony site.
Is there available parking?
Yes, there will be a sign posted in the designated area for parking
Is there a dress code and what should I wear?
The main thing we ask is that no one other than the bride to be wearing white. If you would like to dress up in Lord of the Rings style clothing or gear you are more than welcome to. The dress code is a Semi Formal.
Will there be food and drinks served?
There will be a buffet style dinner and an open bar starting at cocktail hour.
What should we do if we have dietary requirements?
Please bring any of these concerns directly to Johnny or Anna's attention.
Will there be a wedding registry?

Should I wear heels?
Up to you! The ceremony is on a grassed area, so keep that in mind.
