How We Met

July 18th, 2014

John and Anastasia met at a show at the Casbah (The Casbah is an awesome venue. You should go there. Often. Seriously).While Pinback played Penelope, Anastasia appeared and told John that he didn’t look like he was having fun (the crowd was unusually obnoxious and John wasn’t having it). Luckily, this introduction sparked a conversation that lasted until sunrise.

First Date

August 3rd, 2014

After a brief mixup, John and Anastasia re-established communication and went on their first official date!Think, “cute tornado,” (with lots of awkward hand-holding). The date swept through restaurants and bars, briefly turned into an errand for self-service balloons and flower arrangements, then back to the restaurant/bars until 4am.If you don’t remember, August 3, 2014 was a Sunday; a work night for both of us.We were a match!

August 18th, 2014

Anastasia’s birthday. John sent flowers to Anastasia’s work. John never sends flowers. He only met her a month ago. What?!

September 17, 2014

After constant pawing to make things official, Anastasia ‘faked’ a ‘fight’ to check off some boxes (ask her) and said yes! FYI: It was just after Midnight in front of the South Park Buona Forchetta.

New Year’s Eve

December 31st, 2014

Hosted our first New Year’s Eve party as a couple and a set up our first photo booth, these became a staple.

We moved in together, traveled the world, hosted Holiday &amp; Bachelor/Bachelorette viewing parties, raised two lazy cats and served a ton of tiki cocktails. We haven't stopped asking "what's next?" and encouraging everyone to "meet up!" and have no plans on stopping.

Q: Are babies, toddlers, children and/or minors allowed at John and Anastasia’s wedding?A: No. We respectfully ask that you leave the little ones at home, appropriately supervised.

Q: Do I have to be fully vaxxed and boosted to attend? A: 100% YES. Do not come if you aren’t fully vaccinated/boosted against Covid-19 (FDA or WHO-Approved). Bonus points (!) for the following vaccinations: • Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis (DTaP, DTP, Tdap, or Td)•Polio (OPV or IPV)•Hepatitis B•Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)•Varicella (Chickenpox)•Meningococcal Conjugate (Serogroups A, C, Y, &amp; W-135) (MenACWY)•Meningococcal Serogroup B Vaccine

Q: Is there parking available at the venue?A: Yes! However, the parking lot is limited to 50 spaces, so we recommend carpooling or using a rideshare service if possible.

Q: What is the dress code?A: Cocktail attire is encouraged. We also suggest bringing a light jacket or shawl as the reception is outdoors and it may get cooler in the evening.

We will be staying at the Pearl Hotel in the Point Loma area. ﻿Please feel free to book a room as well and join us at the poolthe day after the wedding!It is a boutique hotel with limited rooms, so if you do decide to stay there, we recommend booking as soon as possible.
