Our story is one on the outside that appears ordinary and simple. However, the truth is that God has done a supernatural work in our hearts. God in His kindness has brought us together. It is not because we have done something to deserve it, but rather God’s goodness to us. Ephesians 2:4-5, “But God being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ - by grace you have been saved.” The first thing is that God in His sovereign grace saved us when we were dead in our sins. He gave us His own Son, who bled and died in our place. He took the punishment that we deserved. All we have received is His grace. The beauty of the gospel is that God has made us alive with Christ. He has given us a new heart to lay hold of Jesus Christ as the only hope for salvation. Secondly, God in His kindness and wisdom brought us together. It is astonishing to realize that all we as sinners deserve is God’s wrath, yet He gave us the spotless Lamb of God, whose worth is infinitely greater than anything else He could possibly give. God in His kindness gives us blessings like marriage as a gift so that His Son may be glorified. We are thankful to God for giving us one another. We do ask for all of your prayers in this time. As seen written above, we are sinners saved by the grace of God in Christ. Our prayer is that the Lord will continue to grow our love for Christ and one another. Every day as we walk through life together in marriage our desire is that God might continue to reveal our need for a Savior. We pray that we will grow to lean and rest on our Savior all the more. We praise God for giving us Jesus Christ, as the perfect Savior. We also praise God for this relationship. All the glory and praise belongs to Him alone!
