We met online about 1.5 years before we met in person. It would have been sooner but my original travel plans were canceled due to the pandemic. Our relationship strengthened a lot during the pandemic as we were always there for each other. While not physically together, we were emotionally bonded.

The day that I met Juan on October 21, 2020 was a very special and memorable day that I will never forget. Seeing him standing on the steps to the hotel as my Uber arrived. I knew he was the one that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.

Our week together in Bogota, Colombia, where Juan is from, was nothing less than magical! He showed me all the great sights of his city and we spent a lot of time just getting to know each other. Since that first meeting, we’ve spent more time together in Aruba, Paris and Bogota. This past September while visiting Juan in Bogota, we took a very romantic overnight trip to the countryside where I proposed and he said yes!
