John and Bridget first met at bootcamp for their graduate program in neuroscience at the University of California, San Francisco. On the first day of class, Bridget diligently listened to every word and wrote down detailed notes while John instead was found reading a textbook on pathology. Bridget was intrigued by this assertion of independence and rebellion and the two quickly became friends. As John’s friends know he does not like small talk and wants to get to the hard hitting questions quickly. So one of the first times hanging out, he asked Bridget if she had all the money in the world, what would she put the money towards? It was then that John discovered Bridget’s passion for mental health and they both discovered one of the shared values that they held together: to go after what they love in the pursuit of finding happiness.
Soon would ensue many McDonalds dinner hangouts and hours of conversation and debate. Just as in the movie "When Harry Met Sally", the two became great friends and shared advice on love and dating, unknowing that the person they were looking for all along was standing right in front of them. Until one fateful trip when amongst the charming atmosphere of Eastern Europe, they both discovered their romantic feelings for one another. Five years later, those romantic feelings have grown into a long lasting love. John and Bridget are excited to celebrate their love and to embark on this next journey into marriage together with you all by their side.
