Unbeknownst to them, John and Loren came from very similar backgrounds and in close proximity in the formative years of their lives. Both as only children, they lived about 4 minutes away from each other in West Allis. They both had fathers who were tradesmen and mothers who were in social services. Later on, both John's and Loren's families moved to Vernon and John and Loren both attended Mukwonago High School. Never meeting each other but remembering same events, they had one year overlapping. John graduated in 1995, and Loren in 1998.
For almost 20 years, John and Loren lived full lives and had winding paths that never crossed. Until...
Both John and Loren were about to give up on dating again, let alone the idea of marriage, Bumble helped them find one another. It was an unlikely match due to their locations, however John happened to be working in Jefferson that day and their "30 mile radius" overlapped. Loren swiped right and they began messaging. Two days later, Loren embarked on a 10 hour bike trip alone to Bentonville, Arkansas and asked John if he would like to have a phone call.
That first phone call lasted about two hours and was the first day of the rest of their lives. They felt as though they had known each other for their whole lives. They spoke the rest of the week that Loren was traveling several times and made a plan to meet upon Loren's return. Loren drove straight from Arkansas to meet a stranger in the woods for a hike and a romantic campfire dinner.
The rest is history!
