Like many modern love stories, ours begins with a swipe. We met on Coffee Meets Bagel, the app that took us from “two people in different cities” to “forever travel partners.” At the time, I was living in Pasadena, but one lucky visit to a friend in San Diego changed everything. Thanks to a shift in my location settings (and maybe a bit of destiny), I matched with Marlene, who was busy saving lives and being a real life superhero in her residency program.

After a few months of weekly drives down to san diego for brunches, weddings, dinners and pretending to be sophisticated at wineries, I officially asked her to be my girlfriend in Paso Robles. Thankfully, she said yes (we were at a winery—wine helps). Eventually, I packed up and moved down to San Diego to be closer to her.

From there, we’ve had the adventure of a lifetime—traveling to places like Colombia, Hawaii, Mexico, and Brazil. It was in Rio de Janeiro a year after asking her to be my girlfriend, with the backdrop of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, that I got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with me. She said yes (again—phew)!

Now, we’re gearing up for the biggest adventure yet: our wedding! We’re beyond excited to celebrate with all of you, and we can’t wait to eat, drink, and dance the night away. Bring your best moves, and we’ll bring the Love ❤️
