We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day. Dress code is black tie - optional attire. We ask that all guest wear the color lavender. Ladies can wear floor-length, tea-length or midi formal dresses. Gentlemen can wear a suit & tie or just dress shirt and slacks.
Please see the attire page for inspiration.
What does "Black Tie Optional" Mean?
The dress code isn't as confusing as it sounds (we promise!). It means that guests have the option of wearing their most formal attire (think: an evening gown or tuxedo) but may also choose to wear a formal suit or cocktail dress instead. Generally, a black-tie optional dress code means that the couple and their wedding party will be dressed in black tie. It's therefore courteous for guests to reflect this level of formality in their own attire.
Can I bring a date?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. For exampl, your Save the Date envelope would list "(your name) & Guest". When you go to RSVP, you will be able to see the exact number of people you can RSVP for.
What if I don't RSVP in time?
Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate you if you RSVP late. We will need to provide our vendors and the venue exact numbers by a certain date. While I will send out reminders, please be sure to RSVP as soon as possible once formal invitations go out.
Are kids invited?
We decided to keep our wedding and reception an adult-only event. We hope you understand and enjoy the night off.
Will the ceremony be inside or out?
The ceremony will be outside. This should last 30 minutes. Once the ceremony is over, you will be able to mingle around the common areas inside the venue or even go back outside during Cocktail Hour. The reception will be in the main dining area.
