Like most modern love stories today, their adventure begins on a dating app. It wasn't long before the two decided to meet and with the help of Google Maps, Justin planned their first date in Salina,. They talked over dinner at Blue Skye Brewery, followed with a flirty game of bowling. A month later, the couple made their relationship official. Joie would spend her weekends in Newton with Justin enjoying each other's company. Only three months into their relationship, the couple embarked on their first adventure together to Colorado. It was on that trip that a spark turned into a full on fire. It started with a warning, "Don't miss the exit or you will go over the falls and become part of the next batch of Coors beer." The couple grabbed their tubes and entered the crisp water to start their descend down the mountain stream. In swim suits and equipped with gear most take around the lazy river, the two had to work together to not lose each other in the rapids. Several rapids in, the couple could see the drop. The exit had to be near. The current picked up as Joie pointed out what looked like the exit on the other side of the widened stream. Seeing the task ahead, Justin jumped out of his tube to swim the two and their tubes to the exit. As he jumped out, the two hit a low spot, scraping what felt like their whole bodies against rocks. It was in this moment that they knew they would do whatever it takes to make sure the other was taken care of. Nine months into their relationship, the couple agreed to move in together. The couple found an affordable apartment in Lenexa. Not long into the couple living there, weird things started happening in their apartment. They swear that apartment was haunted, so they upgraded to a two bedroom, where they had been living together for 3 years. Over the course of their relationship, the couple have shared many adventurous travels together. From California to The Bahamas and everywhere in between. You will get to see all of their favorite National Parks they have been to at the wedding! We can't leave out the most exciting story. The proposal. After many strenuous hiking and floating trips, Joie suggested taking a more relaxing vacation. The idea of a family cruise came up. Everyone loved the idea, so a plan was put in place. Justin and Joie flew out to Florida a day early to cross off Biscayne National Park from their list. The couple strolled around the park looking at all the sites, then ventured out onto a jetty. On the walk back from the end of the jetty, Justin stopped behind Joie shouting, "Wow! Look at this!" As Joie reached the spot Justin was looking at, he got down on one knee and asked Joie to marry him. With a smile as wide as the ocean, Joie happily said, "Yes." To make the experience even more memorable, the couple kayaked around the park with manatees! The next day, the couple celebrated with Justin's family on their cruise to the Bahamas.

Get to know the bride:
Growing up, Joie played all kinds of sports including basketball, soccer, and golf. She went on to play college golf for 4 years at Bethany College while earning her degree in biology. Today, Joie works as an Estimator at DH Pace for commercial grade doors. She still enjoys painting, baking, singing and dancing (badly) around the house, and golfing. She can't wait to marry Justin.

If you need to know anything about Justin, it is that he lives and breathes all things baseball. Besides baseball, Justin's interests also include hiking, history, and conspiracy theories. Justin graduated from K-State with a degree is advertising. Today, Justin works as a First Aid and Safety Representative. Justin looks forward to a whole day celebrating their love.

Twin sister of the bride, Tomi has truly been through everything with Joie. The bride is super excited to share the best day of her life with her built-in-best-friend by her side! Glad we have such a fun sister to do life with!

Best friend of Justin. Scotty is a jack-of-all trades, true outdoorsman, and avid adventurer. Justin and Joie have gone on many trips with Scotty forming many memories together. Scotty is a great person to have on our team and we can't wait to have him there to help us tie the knot...literally.
