Long story short, Deets & Jo met in October of 2019 while attending Northern Arizona University - Flagstaff. They had several mutual friends. Deets offered to be Jo's designated driver on Flagstaff's greatest holiday, Tequila Sunrise. They began spending more and more time together, but remained friends for a few months. Jo and Deets both shared their feelings with one another prior to going home for Christmas break, and decided to wait till they both returned from their break to see where their relationship would lead. Unbeknownst to Jo, Deets told his childhood best friend, Stokli that he found the girl he was going to marry. They started dating a few short weeks later in January of 2020.

Jump forward to January of 2021, they were in the heart of COVID and decided to make their move to Idaho.

They moved into their first home together in January of 2022, after living with Deets' parents for a year.

Come Christmas of 2022, Deets and Jo went on a family vacation to Hawaii and Deets had plans to ask Rob, Jo's dad, for permission to propose to her. (He said yes before Deets' even finished his well rehearsed speech.)

After a long 10 months, Deets finally proposed to Jo on October 20, 2023. We still aren't sure she officially said the word "yes" but there were a lot of tears, hugging, laughing, and jumping up and down. Shout out to Jules for helping Deets create the ring of their dreams. We still catch Jo gawking at it.

Jo and Deets jumped into planning a very large and formal wedding but ultimately their values changed. July of 2024 they purchased their first home together in McCall, Idaho! Yay! With this decision to put their money into their first home, they decided to elope in March of 2025, and still host a celebration of their marriage in July of 2025.

They are looking forward to celebrating with each and every one of you, and thank you for being such important parts of their lives!
