I have a last minute change of plans - can I change my RSVP?
If your plans change after the Nov. 12th deadline PLEASE reach directly out to us!
Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?
All guests who will be traveling and arriving in Dripping Springs on Friday evening are invited to join us for a Welcome Reception. Texas BBQ & drinks will be served.
A Farewell Brunch will be held on Sunday.
When completing your RSVP, please be sure to indicate your plans to attend each event.
Are my children invited?
While your children are welcome to attend, the wedding weekend festivities are definitely geared more toward adults. If you are able, you may prefer to arrange childcare so that you may enjoy a weekend without your children.
How does the provided shuttle service work?
We will be providing a shuttle bus service to transport guests to/from the Holiday Inn Express and Sleep Inn & Suites for the Friday night Welcome Reception and the Wedding Ceremony/Reception on Saturday. For the Friday welcome event we plan to run continuous shuttles from 5pm-6pm since we understand that guests may be arriving into town and getting settled later than the "official" 5pm start time. On Saturday we will likely have two waves of shuttles at each hotel departing at ~3:15pm and ~3:30pm. There will not be shuttle service provided for the Sunday Brunch. Please be sure to indicate your plans to use the shuttle service when completing your RSVP. Note that this shuttle schedule is tentative and subject to change once we receive final headcounts, so we may update this response accordingly.
What is the dress code for the Friday Welcome?
Treaty Oak has buildings spread out over a farmstead and has a relaxed country vibe. Cowboy boots and a button up will fit right in. We understand many of our guests might be coming straight from the airport or a long drive in, so don't feel the need to get too dressed up - you're welcome to come as you are! The parking lot and walkways are uneven gravel surfaces, so please keep that in mind when considering footwear!
What is the dress code for the wedding?
Cocktail Attire. Weather permitting, our ceremony will be held outdoors on a terrace (keep in mind Jon's family are northerners, so there may be different definitions for what is acceptable weather for an outdoor ceremony - think greater than 50 degrees).
For men a suit and tie is preferred.
For women a cocktail-length dress, long dress, or dressy separates are preferred.
I'm flying in - should I get a rental car?
For our out-of-Texas friends and family: first off - thank you SO much for taking the time and effort to join us for this special weekend. We understand that making it here isn't easy for many of our guests, but we hope that you'll be able to enjoy a little getaway in the Texas Hill Country! To fully enjoy all that the Dripping Springs area has to offer, we highly recommend having a rental car for the weekend. Uber and Lyft both operate in the area; however, wait times are typically a bit lengthier than in the big city.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
Average temperatures in early December typically range from highs in the mid 60's to lows in the mid 40's. Last year the temps on December 9th reached a high of 79 and low of 59, so the weather can certainly be variable - we recommend checking the forecast in advance and we have our fingers crossed for beautiful weather!
