Jon and Rachel met on a spontaneous trip to Mexico with a group of friends back in February of 2021. Rachel never thought she would see the boy from North Dakota again. Next thing you know, they are both making the long distance drive from Rochester, Minnesota to Grand Forks, North Dakota to see each other. Jon and Rachel's love for travel brought them exploring neat places like Utah, South Dakota, & Iceland that year. For their next adventure, Jon joined Rachel on her travel nursing endeavors in sunny Arizona. With their first glimpse of living together and no more long distance travels, the couple really enjoyed the winter months there in 2022. As Rachel concluded her travels across the United States, Jon joined her in their first townhome in Eden Prairie, Minnesota in the fall of 2023. Living together sealed the deal for Jon, as he got down on one knee and proposed to Rachel the day before his 30th birthday. Rachel & Jon got engaged in Aruba and is one of the most memorable trips the couple has taken to this day! Renting their town home was then cut short, as the couple found their dream home while house hunting in the spring of 2024. Jon and Rachel closed on their forever home in New Prague, MN in June. The couple now lives happily out in the country with their 9 inherited chickens, large gardens, and a lot of fun house projects ahead of them. Through years of long distance, travels, and many memories, the couple cannot wait to celebrate the many years to come.
