There are 3 airports within 2.5 hours of Fort Wayne:

1. Fort Wayne International Airport - This is the local airport in Fort Wayne. It is a smaller airport, so most likely will cost you the most out of the three listed. But it is the closest to the venue and recommended hotels (~20 minutes).

2. Detroit Metro Airport - This airport, located in Detroit, is about 2.5 hours north from Fort Wayne. There are car rentals available. The airport is located south of Detroit, so you will not need to drive through the city at all. There are few major cities between Fort Wayne and Detroit, which makes the drive pleasant and low traffic usually (my preferred airport -Jon).

3. Indianapolis International Airport - This airport, located in southwest Indianapolis, is about 2 hrs 20 minutes south of Fort Wayne. There are also car rentals here. Though similar distance to Detroit, this airport requires you to drive through Indianapolis to get to Fort Wayne, since Fort Wayne is north east of Indy and the airport is located on the south west side. Depending on traffic, this can add extra time to your commute. Once, out of Indianapolis, the drive is pleasant and straightforward.
