Jon and Lexi grew up in Bedford Township, 5 minutes down the road from each other. They both went to Bedford Senior High School, and the University of Toledo right around the same time. Lexi’s brother was good friends with Jon’s cousin growing up and spent summers at their family’s lake house. Lexi worked with Jon’s cousin and Jon’s brother for multiple years in college at MaritzCX. After college, Jon stayed in the area, while Lexi moved around completing her Owens Corning development program. Thankfully Lexi ended up returning to Toledo to be close to her family. Over the years their paths were crossing, but the two didn’t meet until the time God had planned for them.

In the summer of 2023, Jon was suggested as someone Lexi should follow on Instagram. With nothing to lose Lexi followed Jon and hoped he would reach out. Meanwhile Jon had no idea that he was supposed to make a move. A few days later Lexi and Jon both attended the Scotty McCreery concert at Promenade Park in Downtown Toledo. The two were going in separate groups, Lexi with her friends and Jon with his, but it just so happened that Lexi’s brother Adam met up with Jon’s group. Lexi’s name was brought up that night as a potential suitor for Jon, and Adam let Lexi know the next day. Shortly after Lexi reached out to Jon and the rest was history.

The two went on their first date a few weeks later at La Fiesta and hit it off immediately. Their date was full of laughs, lots of getting to know each other, but also feeling like they’d known each other for years. Very quickly after this date the two realized how much fun they have and how perfect of a match they were for each other. Jon and Lexi both want a simple life in their hometown of Bedford where they want to raise a family surrounded by their family and friends. In each other they have found the love they’ve always dreamt and prayed for. They have fun and are always laughing together. They care for one another and put each other first. They are always there to support and lift each other up, and ultimately always do whatever they can to make the other as happy as possible. The two feel so blessed that this was God’s plan for their lives and look forward to his next chapter for them as they become one in marriage.
