Our Wedding

August 14, 2020 - the day our journey began. The day we would begin to rely, trust, and support each other. The day we would learn the comfort of a smile and the power of friendship. And, also, the first-day of 10th grade. Yes, two homeschoolers met at school! Jonah was the new, outgoing baseball player while I was the quiet, studious girl. For the next year and a half, we spent every Friday in class with each other, usually sitting side by side discussing likes, dislikes, trials, joys, and little brothers. And, before we knew it, we were friends.Jonah’s interest for a relationship beyond our friendship was definitely sparked first. But, out of respect (and maybe a bit of fear), he kept his desires quiet (at least from me!) However, when I left the school the following November of 2021, everything changed. Jonah finally called and asked me out. After all, if I said no, he would not have to awkwardly sit next to me in class! But, of course, I said yes - “as friends.” During our four-hour “friend” date the following week at Salsarita’s, we talked and laughed about everything. And, honestly, we haven’t stopped! Neither of us enjoyed high school. It was just something we had to do. But, in the end, it became one of our greatest gifts!

We specifically have no rooms on hold for the wedding, however, these are our recommended hotels. Athens is approximately 30 minutes from the wedding venue and where the Fairfield Inn & Suits and Holiday Inn Express are located. Farragut, where the Hampton Inn and Staybridge hotels are located, are an hour from the venue and in our hometown. Please let us know if you need further assistance.
