In January of 2018, we both swiped right... yes you heard that right. We both swiped right on the social media platform called Tinder. After communicating via Snapchat in February of 2018, we met for the first time at Townsquare in Orange City, IA. We sat and talked for 3 hours about family, friends, and how to complete a Rubik's cube. After lots of coffee shop dates and texting/talking, we became "official" on April 10, 2018. In May of 2018, I graduated from Northwestern (Go Red Raiders ;) ) which began a mostly long distance relationship. In October of 2018, I started a full time position in Downtown Des Moines. Jonathan graduated from Dordt College in May of 2019. We dated just under a year and a half when we got engaged on September 15, 2019 in Downtown Des Moines. In October of 2019, Jonathan made the move to Washington D.C. for a job with the Department of State. On May 2, 2020, we were able to get married in an intimate ceremony with our families. We have moved to Arlington, VA and are loving married life so far!
