Lydia & I met in the summer of 2022 after I moved to Virginia for a new job and visited the church where she grew up and attended. After spending several months building a close friendship, we started dating February of 2023. Through the next several months we worked through a few hard things together, but as a result were bonded closer. The Lord faithfully kept leading us forward.

We had many wonderful summer dates...kayaking on the river, scenic hikes, time at the Kintner family lake house, a Bible conference trip, time with extended family in KY and AL introducing Lydia to extended family, as well as plenty of opportunities to simply live life together.

We had an amazing 2023 getting to know each other and knew without a doubt that we are better together.

While visiting family in Alabama over Thanksgiving, I proposed and we made a lifetime commitment to be together!

The same week that I proposed, I purchased our future home in Virginia. The home sits on ten beautiful, wooded acres. For the better part of the last three months, we have diligently worked hard on renovations. We have painted, stripped and stained cabinets, added a bedroom to the basement, painted some more, cleaned gutters, and power-washed the roof and the beautiful deck. We look very much forward to calling this home for the foreseeable future and couldn't be more thankful for this wonderful beginning to our lives.

We are incredibly humbled by God's goodness to give us each other. We quickly have realized that we are better serving the Lord together. The journey will be full of thrills and trials, and we are immensely blessed to be able to travel it together.
