Jonathan and Sheridan met in high school at Triad, where they were both interested in theater and participated in a few plays together. Jonathan graduated in 2015, and the two of them parted ways, unaware that they would become even closer in the future. Sheridan graduated in 2017, and Jonathan enlisted in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Georgia. When Jonathan returned home, he began volunteering as a youth leader at the Basin Youth for Christ (YFC) in Malin, while Sheridan was serving as a youth leader with YFC group in Bonanza. They would occasionally run into each other in town. They attended the YFC youth group retreat in November 2022 and spent the entire time talking and reconnecting. Their first date was on November 23, 2022. They've been inseparable since then. Sheridan began volunteering with Jonathan at the Malin YFC group in January, and on February 14, 2023, Jonathan proposed to her in front of the Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT) water fountain.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 - Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.❤️
