We met back in January of 2014 while working at Blue Valley High School. I had just started as a paraprofessional and was asked to support a student named Joe in Jonathan's advisory class. After the first class, my supervising teacher asked me about "The heart throb in mobile 1" as she called him. I of course turned bright red.

For Spring Break, Jonathan went skiing and I went to Texas to visit family. Embarrassingly enough, we exchanged information after I commented on a picture of the mountains that he posted on Twitter. After we both got back from our Spring Break Trips, we had our first date during the March Madness tournament and watched basketball and ordered pizza at Jonathan's house. About two weeks, a few dates, and a game night later, we decided to be exclusive!

When Jonathan got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, we were at my favorite place in the world; the deer lease. What made it extra special is that we had hunted in my Papaw's deer stand that morning and he proposed right outside of it. Afterwards he said "I am surprised you didn't say FINALLY!" I laughed told him that our family and friends would do that for me.

We have been through a lot, grown together as well as individually, have made a lot of memories, and have added a few degrees to our resumes over the years. Shhh..don't tell him, but the wait was totally worth it.
