Our Wedding

Our adventure began in 2007 in London, Ontario, where we were both studying. We met on a spring evening at one of London's social "hot spots" at the time. We found ourselves in deep conversation as we soon came to realize that our paths had crossed many times and that we had several mutual friends and acquaintences. Even more shockingly, we discovered that we had been living in the same apartment building one floor apart for the last year and a half!As we grew to know one another, it was our mutual passion for culture, family, travel, and cooking that sparked a close connection right from the start! In the coming years, we spent our time working, studying and travelling extensively in South America, Europe and Canada. Fast forward 8 years, and our adventures have extended around the globe. One of our favourite hobbies is planning road trips on our 40 year old vintage motorcycle. Two of our biggest trips have been our 14,000 km round trip Toronto to Alaska Tour and our 7,000 km round trip Edmonton to San Diego Tour, along the Pacific Coast Highway. Some of our other favourite hobbies include photography, antiquing, theatre, gardening, spending time with family and hanging out with our dog, Romeo. We were engaged in Giverny, France on April 15, 2014. It was a destination we always wanted to visit. We were excited to explore the French country side, so we rented bicycles and packed a picnic that included fresh baguettes, cheese, salami, tomatoes, strawberries and of course, a bottle of red wine! We found a quiet spot in a field with green rolling hills and a large country home in the far distance and it was then and there that Jonathan popped the big question! It was an incredibly memorable day that neither of us will ever forget. Only 90 miles outside of Paris, Giverny is home to Claude Monet's famed estate and floral gardens where he painted his "Water Lilies." This charming little village boasts some of the most picturesque country side in the region and we recommend anyone travelling to Paris to book a day in Giverny! We are so excited for the big day in October and extend a warm thank you in advance to those that will be sharing in this special milestone in our lives. Our thirst to experience all the joys that life has to offer together, has been the beating heart of our relationship. It has been an incredible adventure so far and the best is yet to come!

Welcome aboard one of the most popular train tours in North America. This one-day wilderness excursion will transport you 114 miles north of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, over towering trestles, alongside pristine northern lakes and rivers and through the awesome granite rock formations and vast mixed forests of the Canadian Shield.Through the large windows of the newly refurbished coaches the beauty of the region will unfold and you will experience the same rugged landscapes that inspired the Group of Seven to create some of Canada's most notable landscape art.As the train winds its way through this immense land a GPS triggered commentary, available in five languages, will tell you about upcoming points of interest and share some of the rich history of the region with stories of the Ojibway, fur traders, explorers and entrepreneurs that opened up this vast wilderness and called it home.
