Our marriage service will be held at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Chattanooga, TN. The reception will follow at the Read House in the Silver Ballroom. Both the wedding and the reception will be held indoors in climate controlled environments.
What about parking?
Annunciation Church has a parking lot that should be large enough to accommodate all of our guests.
For the reception, there are many parking options available. The Read House has a parking facility that is valet parking only, unless you are an overnight guest. In addition, there are plenty of street parking options and paid parking lots near the hotel. The Citipark Garage is at 807 Chestnut Street and there are Republic parking lots at 703 Chestnut Street and on Carter Street just down the road.
What's the dress code?
In an Orthodox parish, modest clothing is the norm. Please avoid bare shoulders, shorts, or showing midriff. If your dress shows shoulders, it is acceptable to have a sweater or shawl for the marriage service. For those of you who are wondering, pants are acceptable for ladies to wear. The reception will be semi-formal.
Can we bring our children?
Yes, we'd love that! All we ask is that you please indicate the number of kids on your RSVP so we have enough food for everyone.
Can I bring a plus one?
We would love to accommodate everyone who wants to come, but in order to keep the number of people manageable we would ask that you contact us before bringing an additional person. (This does not apply to your children! See the above.)
