Our Wedding

Our story begins when Jonathan and Jessica meet in February 2019 in statics class. Jonathan started off the spring semester sitting a few rows from the front in the middle section of the huge lecture hall. After a few classes, Jonathan could no longer stand the lack of hygiene practices among surrounding students, so he moved to the row behind Jessica since he knew a mutual friend. After class he joined her friends as they ate lunch and this soon became a regular event. As their first Calc 2 exam approached, they began studying together. This quickly turned into studying for all their classes and spending as much time together as possible. During the semester they met, they spent a lot of time together studying, spending time with friends, and going to UMBC’s sporting events. Jonathan even started going to watch all of Jessica’s softball games and signed up for an 8am class with her for the next semester. As they spent more and more time together their friendship began to blossom into something more. Jonathan finally got the courage to ask Jessica out In June of 2019, and they have been together ever since..Throughout the rest of their college years, they continued to study together and spent as much time together as possible. They enjoyed sitting next to each other at graduation and walking across the stage one after the other. After graduating, they got to enjoy lots of time together playing games, going on dates, and attending other various events without having to worry about school. 2 years after graduating they got engaged!.We couldn’t be more excited to get married and for you to celebrate with us on our special day!

How We Met

1.&nbsp; &nbsp; Jessica loves to bake and her coworkers, family, and friends have all been lucky recipients of her cupcakes and cookies2.&nbsp; &nbsp; You will find Jessica watching football every Sunday during football season and she loves attending Ravens games with her Dad3.&nbsp; &nbsp; Jessica grew up playing softball, soccer, basketball, and volleyball. With her competitiveness, you will want her on your team for any athletic competition4.&nbsp; &nbsp; Jessica loves to make and can homemade tomato sauce with her Mom and Aunt Karen every year. She has recently started making and canning pears, pear butter, and pear sauce5.&nbsp; &nbsp; In June, Jessica will be halfway through her Master’s degree in mechanical engineering

Get to Know the Bride

1.&nbsp; &nbsp; Jonathan loves to smoke meats in his smoker. Some of his favorite things to smoke are chicken thighs, pulled pork, and ribs2.&nbsp; &nbsp; Jonathan loves working with his hands on woodworking and mechanical projects!3.&nbsp; &nbsp; Growing up, Jonathan played soccer and baseball4.&nbsp; &nbsp; Jonathan loves talking on the radio and goes out to parks in the area as a part of Parks on the Air. As an amateur radio operator he made 2021 contacts (conversations) to or from parks last year5. Jonathan has been involved with the Carroll County 4-H all his life. He even was Mr. 4-H in 2017

Get to Know the Groom

1. Jonathan and Jessica were up 100 feet on a lift cleaning and repainting the church steeple (check it out as you walk into the ceremony venue)2. The couple loves to wear color coordinated outfits3. Jonathan and Jessica love to watch the Orioles together and know all about the next games and the players4. The couple is musically talented. Jonathan can play the bass guitar and cajon and Jessica can play the cello5. Jonathan and Jessica love riding roller coasters together at amusement parks6. Jonathan and Jessica love playing games and are always willing to try new ones7. The couple loves playing softball on a team together in the summer. They’ve even collided in the outfield like in a cartoon8. Jonathan and Jessica are both mechanical engineers. They met in class at UMBC9. Every year, Jonathan and Jessica volunteer at the Carroll County 4-H fair. Jonathan fries chicken tenders, French fries, and various appetizers and Jessica runs the register and serves food10. In true engineering fashion the couple has used PowerPoint to design pictures and diagrams for personal projects

We picked 2 hotels next to each other so you could pick the one that best fits your needs. Both hotels have indoor pools and fitness centers. The Hampton Inn offers complimentary breakfast and the Hilton does not.
