Jon and Bailey met on June 8th, 2019 during a night out with friends. Those who know Bailey know she always enjoys country cover band, Bella Cain. When Jon's friends' plans fell through, they gladly tagged along for a great night!

The summer of 2019 was full of fun dates and getting to know one another better!

With the end of summer came returning to college and we decided to give long-distance a shot! We had a blast planning activities to do when one another visited. Cheering on Jon while he played football was probably one of Bailey's favorites! One time while driving together from Madison to Ripon, we found the best little cheese factory halfway between us.

One important thing to note is how much Bailey’s cat, Shadow, loved Jon. Shadow always accompanied Bailey’s visits to see Jon & was the best road trip buddy. He also loved visiting all of his friends at Ripon and was lovingly nicknamed “Frat Cat.”

December 2019 marked one semester of long-distance down and spending time with one another in our hometowns!

Jon made Bailey’s birthday very special during COVID quarantine- we played a bunch of yard games all day & had some delicious steaks on the grill.

One whole year together! We celebrated with some minigolf and an Italian dinner.

The summer of 2020 brought some creativity with dates thanks to the pandemic. One of our favorites was a sunset cruise down the Fox River.

Camping was (and still is) a favorite activity of ours!

COVID school and work became quite monotonous so we spiced things up and adopted Twizzler! Twizzy was a junior surgery patient at vet school that stole Bailey’s heart. Shadow wasn’t too thrilled when he first met her, but with some time she became the perfect fit for our little family.

We rang in 2021 together!

Jon was very committed to visiting Bailey as May, 2021 started her clinical year of vet school and a drastic decrease in flexibility to travel. One positive was getting to explore Madison, WI a little more.

Yay- 2 years together!! This was after we ate our way into a food coma of Mexican food.

One of our favorite places to go on dates in Madison was Vitense minigolf! We also found some pretty awesome breakfast restaurants (C’s) and a delicious mom and pop custard shop (Michael's)!

We said hello to 2022- the year that would bring some wonderful changes!

May of 2022 was an exciting time as Bailey graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Madison and earned her doctorate!

The Wisconsin Dells was a fun post-graduation trip we took. Of course we had to get a picture with the cow!

We celebrated 3 years together in 2022 and purchased our first home in Muskego, WI! This picture is from our small celebration at a local brewery- Eagle Park.

What’s a new home without a house-warming gift?! Tater Tot joined our family and quickly took to cuddling with big brother Shadow & causing mischief with his sister Twizzy.

Hey there 2023!

One day after our 4 year anniversary, Jon asked Bailey to become his wife & it was the easiest “yes” ever! Jon cleverly hid the ring box in a new cat tree he had purchased for the cats. He was putting the final touches on the cat tree when Bailey came home from work & fed the cats- business as usual. Jon then asked for some help as the cat tree came with an extra part he couldn’t find the spot for. Bailey was very confused- how could she figure out this mystery part if her carpenter boyfriend couldn’t? Down on one knee, Jon popped the question as a perfect surprise! We couldn’t wait to tell our family and friends!

Did I mention throughout our time dating we would frequently go see Bella Cain? We have so many great memories singing and dancing with our friends!

We continue to have the best time enjoying life with each other (and never taking things too seriously).

One year until the wedding we had a blast with our engagement photos! Wedding planning is in full swing & we cannot wait to enjoy our special day with you all!
