JON & AMY

Most of you know that we met whilst working together at The Three Crowns in Kidderminster, most people don’t know though that we first spoke on a dating site 2 years previous on Jon's birthday! Whilst the conversation was very brief, we both remembered the interaction well and laugh about it still.

One night at The Three Crowns there was an Elvis Tribute Act. Amy ended up there since she was all dressed up with no where to go after plans fell through. Jon had finished work and was standing at the bar having a drink. Jon, being the gent that he is swooped in to save an exasperated Amy from some unwanted flirting from an old school friend. There was laughter and dancing, from Amy anyway, Jon was far too cool to be dancing!

At one point Jon disappeared off to the toilets, came back to the bar but stood around the corner from where Amy was. Apparently he needed to be told by his brother, Dan, and a friend working behind the bar, that Amy was in fact flirting with him! He was happily surprised, he didn’t want to assume Amy wanted his company. With this revelation he joined Amy again, who was determined to get him dancing.

This was when Amy said to him, ‘shut up and dance with me!’. It worked, he was finally dancing.

A little while later the unwanted flirter came by for another go. Jon had the bright idea to sneak away, so off Amy went to the ‘toilets’ whilst Jon grabbed the coats.

We were laughing as we made our way across the road and stood talking for a little while. When it was time to part, Jon went in for a hug.

And so a hug turned into a kiss.

We’re also told this was accompanied by cheering that we couldn’t hear, since our work friends and Dan were watching us from the pub windows!
