Jonathan and Andrea first met working a restaurant job in 2016. Andrea moved to the United States in 2015 with her family after living in Venezuela most of her life, while Jonathan was just about to start college at Texas Tech University pursuing a career in Mechanical Engineer. They were co-workers first and then friends, but they were ready to meet someone.

After a couple weeks of witty banter and jokes back and forth, Jonathan finally asked Andrea on their first date, that was just supposed to be a movie night but ended up lasting 10 hours. Their relationship started with a slow burn that turned into a big spark overtime.

After Jonathan left for college in Lubbock (which is about 10 hours away from Katy) him and Andrea would continue their relationship through FaceTime, only seeing each other during national holidays. They were pretty much long distance for the majority of the relationship, but they never gave up on each other; both knew no matter how many days they had to be apart, they wanted to be together.

On December 16th 2020, Jonathan crafted the perfect proposal to Andrea on her birthday, after she met her favorite band in a concert in San Antonio.

We get to be unapologetically ourselves together, and we complement each other too well.
